Does anyone have any personal experience with online clone companies? I understand the risk associated with ordering online. It’s not for me.i am hunting my strains for my stable. But my buddy has a small commercial op and needs some quality genetics. I’ve seen Boston clones and kanji clones has anyone used any of these companies or do you have a reference for a reputable clone company. Price really isn’t a problem if the cut is what it says it is. Thanks you guys! And girls!

I don’t, but I know @ReelOfishalTrees had issues with a clone from somewhere coming with some sort of infectious disease(?)
Sure did. Gotta be careful! He lost all of his gorgeous keeper phenos and had to start over.
Thanks Graysin! I tagged you because I thought you might know someone. Your always a great help!
I only go with seeds.
Probably better off starting with seeds of the strain your after and choose the strongest of those then start cloning from there. The cuts i was gifted introduced aphids and tmv into my grows. I would wonder the legality of shipping and or recieving plants through the mail. Seeds are legal until germinated but plants may be another thing.
Technically both seeds and clones are legal to ship in the US under the hemp law.
I’d definitely consider clones if the source was reliable and I could cut the line to get ahead.
How much are clones even going for?
Depends, online I’d bet it would be a pretty penny. If you hit a pop up by a breeder who’s trying to get recognition for a strain they are introducing to a dispensary anywhere from $10-$50 with bulk discounts. Compound was selling clones in Cali last month for $20 each.
For sure. I know ive seen some sites asking like $500 a clone and others about what you said. I know the packaging for shipping clones is stupid expensive at around 20 bucks a container for some if i remember right.
Clone shippers are awesome. Expensive individually, but as with anything else, gets cheaper in larger quantities. Also depends if they are rooted, if they are cuts, or tissue culture.
I was considering doing shipped rooted clones. But i have no clue what to charge thats fair for both the buyer and me. Especially if im investing in professional packaging and ensuring disease and pest free clones wiht top shelf genetics
For the general population online I’d do cost of the shipping and the individual container x3.
Let’s say total cost is $90 and you make $60
Seen a lot of this.
Same here. When i was on fb people all over getting Spidermites from clones ruining entire grows by the time they caught it.
Bought a wedding cake clone from the dispensary and I forget exactly which pest I introduced to my grow but the pest made my buds skinny and sucked my plants dry and they couldn’t drink right. Spotted the leaves also. I believe it was fungus gnats and thrips. Never had a problem before or since
The biggest concern with clones is pathogens. Any plant you take in should be quarantined and tested before introducing to your room/garden. Which makes the overhead even more. Farmer freeman can test for pathogens and diseases.
I believe they send them in some sort of hard box with an led light on for the duration of the shipping
