On average what is the difference from wet to dry wt?

Hey y’all today is chop dayfor my 2 ladies. They were frosty with amber in the bud. Some was brown but that was on the sgar leaves. No brown on the buds.
My question on average what is the shrink wt difference after drying. I look like i have a nice supply for me but that’s while wet. What can I expect after 10-15 days?

I wet trim…i usually yield around 20% +/- of the wet trimmed weight once dried and cured

Agreed I had 1/5 also had 1/6

With branches/stems included expect to lose 80% weight.
SO if you have a pound wet, 28 grams, then expect about 5.5 grams dry when pulled from the stems.
I know its a killer thought. :sleepy:
On a calculator its (Wet Weight) minus 80% equals Dry Weight.

You’ll lose 75 to 80% once dried and cured.

a pound is 16 zips at 28 g each for a total of 448 grams. I am sure that was a typo Spiney but wanted to clear that since it is in response to the OP’s question.

I find about 25% is your dry weight, but I don’t weigh it wet. I dont weigh in until I am ready for the cure. A quick trim and the weight and into the groves for curing.

Lol, I have been doing stupid things due to a tooth infection. I am not surprised I did that.
Should of course have said 1 ounce. 28 grams.

25% is what I would get if I removed more material and had just buds on a rack. I started to cut whole branches and remove the fans and trim the leaves without trichomes. Once the buds were pulled off after dried it would be closer to 20%

I dont weigh anymore either at this point until dry. I did early on when curiosity about it was there. Now I just wait like you until its dried and bagged.

Me too.
Working the weed is hard enough, without adding not important steps.
Clean trim (wet, removing fan leaves and anything not covered with Trichomes) dries evenly.
Biggest bud/branch, got mold, too big to dry,
Buds only, no stems/stalk/branches when jarring, my game.
Sweating some currently, after a week of hanging.

I wet trim and remove all stems and leaves before drying.
My dry weight is usually 23% of my wet weight.

So wet weight minus 77%.
