I was just mixing and watering. Next time I’ll check ph after mixing in nutes.
I’m careful about watering and pinch soil 1” down into my hand and if it’s dry I water. So far every 2.5 to 3.0054 days approx. water.
I’m using 18/6 for lights.

Welcome here @BuzzCut2030! I used one of those $10 soil meters with the two prongs to check moisture level on the grow I just finished and it took a lot of guess work out for me. I also had some in AutoPot hydro system and that took ALL the guess work. I am just now starting my first autoflower tent grow so nutes etc are high on my list of study at the moment. And with the grow that just finished, my very first, I found out that many times my mistakes were someone else’s method.
I just was trying to be too careful about watering since so much that I read said many newbies overwater. I have one of those 2 prong things and I’ll use it in conjunction with feeling the soil an inch down in pot.
I do water. Slowly. Until water just starts coming out bottom of pot. I’m thinking that enough. Any thoughts on quantity of h20?
Don’t be scared. Lol. But your doing good. You’ll keep learning. A lot of people worry about watering. It all depends on what stage your at. And your strain. And honestly, just your plant itself. You gotta listen to them. Watch for droopy leaves, over watering and under watering will cause it. And a great way is feel the weight of your pot when it’s full of water. After you water to runoff. Then keep picking up a little. When it’s super light, you know to water.
Hmmm. Is the epsoms salts just for coco and non soil mediums. I use nutes but reading on epsom salts fir mary jane plants seems like it does miracle wonders for plants. Should i add any to my feeding mix for my girrls or is that all un the nutes mixes by gh. List of things i use and or have to use

@BuzzCut2030 welcome. You found a great place. I’m in the same place as you. Have a harvest under my belt. I guess the only thing I would offer is patience. Everything takes time and sometimes The wait is nerve racking.

Mark0427 the only thing I’ve used is Fox Farms nutes. All this other stuff is new to me. Was wondering about the flush tho. The way I understand it it sounds like a good thing to do but with my autos maybe overkill? I planned to switch to plane ph correct water 2 weeks before harvest as others have suggested.
Flushing isnt overkill with autos. Same thing as using the ph’d ater for 2 weeks. But in 1 watering basically. Has additives to break the stuff down quicker. Not a must, but handy.
If you are using the GH nutes right in coco. And watering to run off. You shouldn’t have to worry about flushing. That is mainly for when you are feeding heavy. Since autos want fed lower ppms. You should be good all the way through. I use the GH as well. And can’t think of the last time I needed to flush any thing. My bottle of florakleen is pretty much full still. If you aren’t getting enough run off each time. Then you may need it.
Well im new to all this too never had to do any flush or anything yet was hoping someone would walk me thru it as its needed atleast for the first plant in soil and they hydro bucket. After that ill b good on my own. Just wanna make sure i have it going the right way so i dont mess up the smoke. Lol
I use gh stuff too. Cal mag armor si bio root micro grow bloom kool bloom liquid kool bloom flower fuel floraliscious plus. And for bugs i have azamax by gh and i have sns 209 pest control. Never really used pet stuff but once at tge beginning trying mg soil it got gnats bad flying around so i started and used soil from the hydro store. Ffof
Anyone know if i use thin wire and syran wrap to make a greenhouse for the clones. Will that work. Dont wanna run out and dont have anything big enough to cover them all up.
Its for the inside. Just wanna keep some humidity in to see if i can root these cuttings. I just took a box and hollowed top and bottom made ne a greenhouse for them.
Oh, Yep. I did the same early on. I cut the top out and used saran wrap for a window. I now use clear plastic totes. I have 2 sizes. I start seedlings and clones with the top on. And then remove it. It gives them air and also helps to keep the heat and humidity in. I drilled a few holes in the sides so I can run a small fan on the out side for a little air flow if it gets to warm in there. This is the smaller one. I think it is about a 16? qt
I am watering now every other day. They are very thirsty. I’m surprised how fast the weight of the plant decreases in 2 days. Still doing 1/2 FoxFarms nutes. My only concern is the way some of the leaves look with kind of yellow strips.
I think all in all they look OK. At the start of week 7 and counting !
Can anyone chime in on how they look? I’m surprised at my bonding with these girls and want only the best I can give.
The epsom can be used for both. I use it for Jacks. And cal mag for the GH nutes
