There are ways to make fresh harvest edibles. I believe BTB’s Everclear method actually works better with fresh chopped frozen bud.
Then we are talking the ‘fully mature’ window. U could always take a couple buds early for a taste test

I do have a few smaller buds that are lower down on the plant with mostly all red pistils, but I can def see mostly clear trichomes

I have about 4 or 5 branches that, from the start of the buds to the top are at least 8” to a foot…I’m only going to feed them till the 10th, then just water till I harvest on Christmas eve

They look great but I think you’ve got a ways to go before 2 week flush. The hairs are all still mostly white. Buds gna keep stacking up too I bet

So I need to scrap the idea of even have some smokeable on New Years? that sucks

I would personally wait, but if you’re looking for some smoke on New Years, I think you’d be fine cutting off a nice nug and drying for a week before the holidays.
I know wat u mean tho, my harvest wont be until after the holidays either, but I’m hoping it’ll be cut and dry at least by the superbowl.
