is there one? i am growing in Happy Frog potting soil - for just a 3 month grow what nutrients are recommended and when? maybe just epsome salts once a week? or is the soil good enough to feed the whole time?
and after harvest, can I grow again and if so - what nutrients are needed or recommended? (assuming soil is weakened some from the first grow sucking all the nutes up)
Happy frog will not carry plant through flowering stage you will need to buy some Bloom nutes To finish the plant To full potential , There are a lot of good products on the market. Good luck
there is alot of choices for nutes, you have Jacks 321 and Fox Farms Trio, and there is others. each brand has a feeding schedule. look up a few and then see what you think will work for you and we can help along the way.
what i have seen either mentions hydroponic or seems like it - are they also good for outdoor growing?
maybe @Retiredoldguy can add something - since he is in the same climate/area?
its used for all, i will be using jacks 321 on this grow and i grow in soil
wish I could but I got nothing because I never used happy frog except for just the soil
allright - i was settled on the Foxfarm trio but will reassess Jacks 321.
thanks all, input very appreciated
do you need the feeding schedule? @Borderryan22 those girls are beautiful
Thank @BudzMS
@surfgeo Jack’s 321 is a very simple nutrient line. I don’t have to pH my water because it falls in soil range. It’s the same ratio of parts A, B and epsom the whole grow, and very easy to tweek if needed.
FF trio is a good line up. There is a lot of ph’ing involved as well as flushes at various points throughout the grow. It’s a little more difficult to adjust your mix with FF. The end result is great, but it’s a little more work, and a little more pricey, than I prefer.
if going with the FF trio, make sure you order the FF Sledge Hammer
thanks - but what is the general schedule? i was just reading that in soil to use 1/2 to 1/4 what the directions say for hydroponic - 2x week.
There’s a lot here, but the trio (Grow Big, Big Bloom, and Tiger Bloom) are all of the necessary parts. The extra stuff is just fluff and unnecessary. You’ll need a cal/mag product as well for when you get near flowering.
The Jack’s idea above is a great one. I switched to Jack’s last year and love it.
thanks i saw these charts - would epsom salts work for the mag?
and i am reading around a bit - i have AF and PP seeds both germinating now - many say do nothing till flower for the AFs because the FF soil will carry them well.
