No instructions for QB light?

No I don’t should I get one. What does that do

This is my first indoor grow bro. So take this with a grain of salt because others know WAY MORE!!! You have 2 variables to deal with: the height to the canopy and light intensity from the watts output. The closer to the light, the more intense it is. And that ballast is adjustable to increase the output watts. The killowatt measures the watts that our output. So you don’t have to guess as you increase it from veg to flower. It makes it more repeatable.

@DaGoose. Is there a diagram somewhere that tells how many kilowatts at what distance? Are you doing hydro or soil

@DaGoose this what you talking about?

That’s a par meter that measures the light intensity at the canopy. I don’t have one of those.

If you bought the kit and I think you did…the ballast has adjustable wattage for the output which increases the light density. The killowatt measures that and you can simply use a tape measure to determine the height to the canopy. I don’t know how to do the link but they are like $25 on amazon.

There are heaps of other variables and I do soil. But it was always outdoors before this grow. My understanding is hydro adds many other variables. If this is your first indoor grow… you might want to keep it simple and start in soil to get a few good grows under your belt and then progress from there.

Thanks @MoneyPit !!!

Gotta love this forum. But please know I don’t know jack…just trying to learn this :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

@DaGoose. Ok I get it. You plug the light into that and while you make the adjustment it gives you the watts your pushing out

That’s it!!!

Just ordered mine couple days ago super stoked. Always intersex in new and improved. Growing has come a long way since my first try. We bought the book how to grow your own stone
