Since I’m flipping in a week should I add bloom nutes after the flush? I’ve read of still doing veg nutes through wee1-2 of flower. Idk.
Promix isn’t like a soil, its a soilless medium and needs to be treated as hydro. 5.5-6.5 PH, continue doing veg nutrients a week or two until you are about done with the stretch then switch. For autoflowers you would start bloom nutrients at the flip.
You may have slight N tox in a couple of your pics but it doesn’t look bad. Leaf clawing and Dark green leaves are a couple signs of N tox, which I can see in a couple pics. but its not terrible at all. Also as others have said you are feeding a bit much. Showing signs of overfeeding on the leaf tips.
Yes, too much would be soil, not soilless.
If you check the ph of your runoff using distilled or r/o water you will get a more accurate ph of your media.
This is just what I would do and someone else may have a better way. You can’t do a slurry test because of the soil layering.
Flush then? Until Ppm? @Aolelon
You can flush, Your leaf tips aren’t too burnt, which means its not too bad. You might even just lower your feeding. Flushing isn’t a fix all answer. It can cause problems too.
Don’t add your Bloom nutes until after you flip to flower. Just add veg nutes for now after you flush.
Sounds like you’re set!
The only thing I would add is to take a look at your calmag. A lot of them are calcium nitrate based, and will also add a lot of nitrogen. You’ll probably need it at some point, but if you’re looking nitrogen toxic and magnesium deficient the Epsom may be a better treatment. At least temporarily until your nitrogen levels come down or your photosynthesis rates go up.
i have something like that too. @raustin what do you think
@Newgrwr2018 whats the age of your plant? still is veg or in flower?
Looks like a calcium deficiency.
will ff trio take care of it or do i need another supplement?
Call Mag is what’s normally used, but I do believe FF trio has calcium in it, I just don’t know if it’s enough.
Also, keep in mind that your Ph is very important here. Make sure it’s where it should be, otherwise adding calcium will not help. If ph is not right then it could lock out calcium.
@raustin. I’ve been pHing with the idea of 5.5-6.2 best for promix. Cal-mag on several more leaves today. So I foliar sprayed at lights out. I’ll adjust pH next feeding. They look great today. Only
One took a hit and it has bounced back with a few scares to show for
It.
They look great. Good job.
Riddle me this Batman. Why is it that the rule is don’t water heavy pots, wait until they’re light? Yet after the flush ( hell during being it took 6 hours) the plants exploded in growth. Several inches in every direction. I thinking 1 of 2 conclusions. Flush more often or water/feed with more gallons more often. Maybe both
Water to runoff which is sort of a mini flush, but then you have to let the soil dry out otherwise you get lots of problems.
It’s possible the flush brought your pH back to a level where the plants could take in the nutrients they needed.
Possible. If that’s trues then my pH meter was off for that feeding. I may not have checked it. I did check it yesterday.
