The music store where we take our lessons is also a stringed instrument repair shop. The owner suggested that the “action” on my guitar needed to be adjusted. On Tuesday I dropped it off and it was supposed to be ready on Thursday.
When we arrived for our lesson yesterday he told me that he had found a bubble in the finish and that he was repairing it. My guitar would not be ready for another few days.
I am fine with it but don’t believe that he “found” a bubble that chipped. If he had he surely would have called and asked if I wanted it repaired and given me an estimated cost. He just went ahead and started fixing it and gave me a (brand new) loaner until mine was ready. This all tells me that they bumped it and chipped the finish.
Could be either. But in either case, it sounds like a good thing. If he dinged and repaired it, he’s a stand-up guy. If he found a blemish and repaired it for you because you’re a lessons customer, then that’s stellar customer service.
Guitars get dinged. No preventing it with an instrument this size.
Good morning cannabis lovers. I must admit that have been struggling a bit with my recent diagnosis. Vision loss sucks, and I think I may have been as close to experiencing actual depression as I ever have been. But this morning I had an epiphany, I believe.
I can’t allow vision loss to change the way I look at life.
I can only imagine how you must feel…and it is normal to feel like that…I would think it would be kind of like grieving for a death of someone you love…you have lost a part of you…but not all of you
