Newbie hesitant to harvest. What do trichomes say?

Are the trichomes telling me to harvest? I thought when I got to this step it would be obvious but know I’m second guessing myself. As you can see plenty of hairs have already turned rusty orange - top to bottom of buds. Hairs are making me think it might be time.

Of the four this plant flowered first and has beefed up buds the best. I would hate to botch this step.

Sage advice would be appreciated.

I would say no give it more time r u flushing or gonna water it out for the last 2 weeks if that id prolly start to water with ro water. What ya think @Covertgrower

I agree, I would give it more time. I would keep a good eye on the trichs. I see a lot of clears and some cloudy. It’s hard to tell but it looks like the few ambers I spotted are on sugar leaves. Could you also post a pic of the plant and buds? What type of buzz are you looking for?

Those milky can turn cloudy pretty quickly. I would either be flushing, or starting to if you choose to do that. Some do some don’t.
I would agree it has 2 weeks or less.

@Covertgrower I will do a full flush soon then and keep a closer eye on trichomes.

I cut back on N two weeks ago. No N for almost the last week and diluted nutes. I may have started that too soon. Lower fan leaves have yellowed and some sugar leaves looking beat up. Maybe that’s why so many threads have oranged up already.

@GreenJewels I’ll post a pic soon when I can get some better lighting. About the target buzz. I was hoping to avoid speedy anxiety of a too early harvest without going too far in couch lock territory.

I appreciate everyone chiming in. I was considering harvesting yesterday. Glad I asked around first.

Hi @GreenJewels Here are some pics of buds and plant.

She’s not tall at all. (Don’t laugh, she’s my first ) Main stem is twisted around side of the pot in a half circle. Hairs are mostly orange now which is what was making me think it was maybe time to cut. Maybe I cooked them under the light - I’m about 12-14 inches away with SF2000.

You’ve done a great job training her. 12-14" is a bit to close and that can turn hairs brown. What I read on the light says 16- 18" hanging height for flower.
I would chop 20% amber amore than that and your heading to couch lock.
You don’t have long though, keep a good eye on her trichs.

@FoxFire Plants are looking great! Good job getting to this point. I see some white pistils still. Also, the brown pistils will shrivel up and be incorporated into the bud. As @GreenJewels stated, best thing to do is keep checking the trichomes daily or every two days for the amber color.

Keep growing!

Thanks all for the input. I’ll stay the course and keep watching the trichomes. I’ll dial that light down a bit too.
