New Years Resolutions

I’m going to start off. I did this 20 years ago and never looked back. I resolve to not ever make a New Years Resolution. I’ve stuck to this. For anyone trying to diet this year. I went carnivore diet + fruits and vegetables, nuts and legumes. I could even stuff myself on these. I drink water or unsweet tea with lemon or lime. Lost 50+ pounds in 6 months. Happy New Year to everyone. Good growing and best wishes.

I spend a lot of time in the gym. Each New Year the gym is absolutely packed, for 2 weeks that is. Ninety percent of them are gone within 2 to 3 weeks.

If you want to better yourself, then get out there and get after it regardless of what the calendar says.

Or the weather… that’s my lazy sides first thought.

Awesome. Change comes from within not a resolution youll forget. Personally dropped 125 pounds 3 years ago over a year and a half with just modified diet and walking. Unfortunately gained some back due to boozing but quit recently and will drop it again. Avoiding couch lock strains as they make me lazy and munchy.

I know this isn’t up a lot of folks particular alley, but my wife and I kinda made a thing to do ‘the Bible in a year’. I know I talk a lot to my kids and stuff and haven’t really studied what I’m telling them. Plus, I get my Sxxx all outta whack.

As far as dieting, I quit eating junk a few hours before bed, and started drinking more water. Always been 165ish, til recent. Got over 205 in prison a few years back. I’m skinny now, we think I got a thyroid thing, but I’ll be dxxxed if 15 minutes of exercise every day doesn’t have me almost looking like Fight Club Brad Pitt.

Lol, you sposed’ to get cut up in the joint. Where were you? I was at PackII in 94’ French/Roberson in 96’.

As for the bible… I’m buried in it daily. Try to do language studies and other texts ftom the periods. It’s at the very least, a good moral compass. To me, it’s a blueprint of the malevolence and calamity of living, and the guidance to confront it. Happy New Year to you and your family @Borderryan22.

That’s not a bad plan brother. I think we’re supposed to get ourselves in line so we can more aptly help others. Congrats on the quitting. Couple tough ones too.

My resolution for this new years, to maintain 7 years sober from Heroin and meth, hopefully fully heal my L4-L5 ,groin and entire left leg all the way to the toes, and dig myself out of this hole getting injured has put me in. Gonna keep on growing and learning and helping as much as I can. I’m not gonna lie an say imma be a better person bc I’m already as good as I’m going to get today. Always tomorrow tho :joy:

I wish everyone a wonderful and safe New Year’s.

Good for you on 7yrs sober from Herion and meth. I was a Herion addict on the streets of Los Angeles for 20 years of my life. I checked into a rehab in 1998. I have 26 yrs free from addiction.

My resolutions are simple:

Grow good food, grow better weed, be the best version of myself possible. Be a good man, husband and stepdad…and leave all the drama from 2024 in the rear view.

I recently had a falling out with my narcissistic father: after years and years of manipulation and abuse i finally had enough and told him we were done, as an adult i dont have to put up with the BS and look the other way.

I hope to take this energy and turn it into something useful.

I can relate to everything except the kids part,Im 39 and usually 235 to 250lbs solid because i was a bodybuilder for yrs and also had done my fair share of prison time. Ive lost a bunch of weight myself ,doing all the labs,CT scan etc… havnt found anything yet but started eating alot more and have gained back 10 lbs. Ive got well over a yr now no alcohol so im gonna keep that as my new yrs resolution. Great post @Borderryan22

Im gonna say also my new yrs resolution will be not take things personal.
