Weekly update here. First to emerge is a gsc. I was a little worried this would be the only 1 of 6 seeds to grow. I have only done the drowning in water germination method a couple times…not a fan. Anyway, after 48 hours only 1 seed had NOT cracked open. That excitement was short lived because…after another 24 hours there was no change. Taproots were not growing.
I was done with flood water method and transplanted seeds to root riots.

I’m happy to report all is well. I was worried so I took the remaining seeds, 2 of each, and reverted back to grade school methods. Glass lined with paper towel. Less than 48 hours later it looks like i will end up with at least 8 of 10 seeds growing.

. I hope to at least update once a week. Things are going to start moving along now and I’m juggling a couple projects but that shouldn’t be a problem.
I’ll be putting the sprouts from the glasses, minus 1 runtz not germinated, into root riots and any that have emerged will go into soil tomorrow✌️

Nothing I just wrote 8 when it should have been six. 1 runtz in the glass with paper towel did not germinate. 1 runtz from the original 3 I started with cracked open but has not emerged from root riot. 2 of the gsc from original 3 have not emerged. I don’t expect anything different tomorrow but we’ll see.

Saw you had some GSC there. I swear that has to be the strain that hates overwatering the most lol.

@Fieldofdreams it’s cool. I officially have 6 little girls, 2 of each is what i was shooting for. 3 of each is what I ended up with. Looks like the 4’ tent will see flower, and sooner than I thought.
3 seeds, from the original 6 I started with, did nothing more than crack open. It’s been 8 1/2 days and no “tail” on any of them. That’s 1 runtz and 2 gsc. 1 runtz seed from the remaining 4 seeds has not cracked open after 4 1/2 days using paper towel method.

The ones not labeled are 2 gsc and 1 runtz. Told you all I was multi-tasking
. Forgot i didn’t have tags made up, since I wasn’t originally planning to germinate more than 6. Was in a rush and for the life of me can’t remember what’s what lol. No problem really. Should be able to tell by the time they’re ready for cuttings.

@Beefy are your girls photo? When they get bigger take some clones off each strain and they can replace the ones that didn’t sprout on this run for you. Like free weed!!

Quick update…I went ahead and put labels to the unknown. Looks about right but subject to change. Also, gsc for sure, are some stretching little bitches. I mean maybe i was a little conservative with light dimmer but they are just seedlings. Plus not the most powerful fan but still. Corrections have been made.

Weekly update!!
Sorry everyone. This past week was another busy one. Besides some unrelated surprises, the girls have kept me busy as well. I’m still trying to setup this garden and I’m not catching many breaks.
Today is 3 weeks from when I dropped these 3 in water. Feels like 3 months. We’re done with training wheels, just about I hope
It was 3-4 days later I put the remaining seeds I had in glasses with wet paper towels. 1 didn’t make it but these 3 did. All but the runtiest of runtz needed support. Looking at you #4…I didn’t give them much and they definitely wanted more. Oh well, tough love. Despite that, I still had to rotate and move them around. Lean into fan and away from the light. Little by little they strengthened and now only 1 has a crutch.

Been dialing in temp and humidity, something I never did before. I grew with hps. If it stayed out of the 90’s I was happy. Now with leds, it’s work to keep them warm Lights out 30 minutes ago and it’s currently 74°f with a rh of 55%. Bought a humidifier to get out of the mid to high 30’s.
It’s a work in progress. Really only focusing on the small tent while keeping in mind the bigger plan. A little bit to do yet to have the larger tent ready when the ladies are. Plenty of time but before that we’ll have a transplant and have to decide who goes. Really only wanted 4. I’ll have to squeeze 5 and try flowering 1 in the small tent.

Hope to have most everything done by next week. Air circulation and exhaust are priorities as well as continuing to adjust temp/rh. I will post some pics of my setup soon…
