I’ve only used Apera and Bluelab.

Not familiar with that ph pen, but I do there are alot of industrial brands. I worked in printing and ph was tested every hour on the ink. And I have never seen anything like what we used at work for sale.

Seeds are soaking now, everything is good to go, hoping they pop and I can get them into soil soon.

Welcome to the forum.

I am on a well and run into mag def each grow. So I have started to preemptively use epsom salt and it is working great right now. The amount of solution used to change ph will change with the amount of nutrients added to the water. You will get a feel for it as you move through the grow. Read the labels on the bottles. One, I don’t remember which right now, will only need drops to make big changes.

I start my autos in cups en transplant once. I’m too worried about over watering that my happen in the larger pots. It was basically beat into me early. Don’t over water.

Hey welcome to the forum. Gonna be watching and tagging Long dor the ride. Wishing u luck on the grow bud. Lots of listening ears out here.

Welcome to the forum. You are in good hands here. You will get successful grows by following the advice given by fellow growers who are more than willing to share info. they have with others. good luck and happy growing  :bat:

Sorry, just now saw that you asked me how far along they are. The taller ones in the back came up on 8/26 and the front ones came in 8/31.

Right now re-evaluating nutrients and looking to switch from General Hydroponics to Advanced Nutrients. This autoflower grow for me is more of a challenge as far as nutrients. They are going through way more water then the photoperiods I grew. Four plants go through six gallons of water every two days. But having loads of fun.

I just took this. Just spent some time in there tying down some of the taller ones in the back so if they look laid down, they will pop up by the end of the day.

Those look great and aren’t that old, 4-5 weeks? They look really nice! Why the switch of nutrients? Just want to try something different or things going awry? Is the fly strip prevention or do you have an issue with them? We have a room upstairs that we grow house plants in and they’re everywhere in there, trying to get rid of the dang things, but it’s not going how we wanted. Ha!
Do you pretty much have to flush with all nutrients you get or are there some that don’t require flushing? That part of the grow sounds like a major pain and not really sure how I’ll cross that hurdle when it comes.

I guess with all my nerdy studying Advanced Nutrients eluded me. They are organic. I saw an ad on Bud Candy and followed that rabbit trail to discovery. I am actually going to post a question as to what products I need to replace the GH with.

I honestly did not study nutrients too much as I as so successful with GH and the more I looked, initially, the more confused it got. Everyone and every site was all over the place, so it was just better for me to go with what was working. However, this grow I started paying more attention to PPM and cannot get it above 250-300 and I hope the Advanced Nutrients will help on that one.

As far as flushing, the first grow did not get flushed until four days before harvest. Someone talked me into harvesting earlier than I should have. It has all worked out in the curing process and was not the total loss I thought it was. Both strains smoke incredibly smooth with no coughing. Super nice smell to the buds, too.

I have read good evidence that flushing is not necessary. You don’t want to starve the plant at the end. And I am sure that could be debated endlessly up to and including a fist fight in a Walmart parking lot. I will say this, the WORST home grow I have ever smoked is and always seems to be ANYTHING grown with Miracle Grow. I can tell in one hit if that was used.

No, only used cheapos and an apera I recently picked up.

Learnt many things from the comments.

Welcome to the community.

So I have my seeds soaking still going on 48 hours and no dice yet. Think I should put them into paper towels and a zip lock baggie?
The seeds are from ILGM and are gsce autos

Let them soak. If they don’t sprout that way, they never will.

I would try that and see what happens

48 hrs should be sufficient have they moved to the bottom of glass. Have always had good success in the paper towel method make sure you keep it moist and in warm dark place.

Pyroxide increases success rates by about 10% 1.5 tsp to a 1/2 cup water I also think total darkness helps a lot

I put it in a paper towel overnight and it definitely looked like it’s cracked with a little tap root sticking out. I read it’s supposed to be a half inch long before I plant it.
Think I should wait until I get home from work later today to plant it or should I put it in the dirt right away?
