New LST beginner help

Hey growmies! I’m a beginner and I’m planning to LST my girl and I would like some help to do so. I’ll drop some pics of her. I bought LST clips but I don’t think she’s strong enough for them yet. I’m thinking about purchasing these:

What do you guys think? Are they good? Is it worth it?

Here’s some pics of my girl:

Your girls are looking good :+1: I do feel they are a bit young to start training. Are you going to top them?:v:

It’s well worth it as is highly recommended :ok_hand:

No I’m not going to top them, thanks for the time frame! How much longer do you think until I should train?

Btw it is an autoflower :))

I’m not familiar with autos but they say you need to do what you are going to do early on. Someone with more experience in autos will help you I’m sure.:v:

Looks good! How do you LST with the ties?

You will regret not topping or fimming her… i just fimed her…

Nice! Hopefully she does well. Does anyone have experience with ties and how I would tie her down? Do I have to begin stretching her a bit now side to side?

She’s way bigger yes the one I regrettably did not top or fim that grew into a giant… but here’s one example of lst

Appreciate it, when do you think I should LST?

Let her stalk get a lil bigger then pin down them suckers gently and make the new limbs reach for the light imho… look up above and you can see… i started out with tent stakes

For LST you want to consistently bent the tallest stems down as the plant grows, resulting in a flat, table-top shape

There are plenty of videos on YouTube on how to LST. I found a simple one for you to check out. Shows you exactly what to do!

@Sammys i use those kinds of soft ties on my
Plants from young to mature. They’re strong and reusable and cheap enough.

I don’t think it’s too early to LST that plant. don’t top or fim your auto. It’s an auto so everything is a race against time. You don’t wanna wait for the shock of a top/FIM to be over - with LST there’s no waiting. Just bend the top down as far as you can without snapping it. Some plants are really flexible and you can bend that top down so it’s pointing straight back down and then tie it in place. If you can’t get it that far at least point it so it’s below 90degrees. The side shoots will start to come right up and you can unleash the top again when the side shoots surpass it in height.

If you really wanna see what pros can do with those kinds of ties look at bonsai videos on YouTube and you’ll see how they wrap the stems with that soft wire and the plant becomes like a poseable doll. Same techniques can be applied to cannabis.

Also any of you use these before? I might give it a go next time I water for the root one. Other two is foliar spray.

Do you have bugs or mold? If not…. Probably don’t need em :man_shrugging:
