New guy growing autos

Greetings all. I have been busy starting my 1st grow and have started as follows.
I am using.

  1. Fox Farm Happy frog for my seedlings
  2. Fox Farm Ocean Foreat
  3. Fox Farm Strawberry Fields
These are are layered in 7 gallon fiber pots with the seedlings starting out in happy frog in the center, then ocean forest around it, then in the bottom there is the strawberry fields.
Lava rocks are in the very bottom 1 inch for drainage. All soil came out of the same bags for all pots. Then watered all 4 pot well so no dry spots in the pots.
  4. I used the paper towel method for germination, 1 did 4 seeds and had one dud never popped, I soaked it as well for several days as well. I also had a worley so I found out on line. So I did another seed and got it going, believe it or not it took off very fast and passed the others.
  5. Ph has been between 5.6 to 6.5 using distilled water and fresh rain water.
  6. Humidity has been 50 to 70 percent. This has been up and down, the fight still is on going.
  7. Temp has been from 65 to 80 up and down.
  8. I am using a air conditioning system on the output air only piped into the tent.
  9. I have a humidifier set at 70 percent now for 1 1/2 weeks into growth .
  10. I am using led Mars Full Spectrum Grow Light: Consuming only 300Watts true output with 684pcs LEDs, highest PAR/LUMEN output(1122umol@18"),idea for all growth stages.
  11. Spray watering around the plant and watered once each pot with 15 ml. Around the outer edges of the pots ph 6.5.
  12. I have a washer pan put on top of a 2x4 frame to raise up the pan to clear the zipper door for drainage when watering or flushing when the time comes.
  13. The tent is a 4x4 Mars with fan system.

Here is my grow where it stands. I am going to let the worley plant so someone called the mutant to grow, who knows. Can you guys look over my shoulder and tell me where I have failed or fallen flat. Attached are the girls so far.

One of my girls yesterday started to have bright green new center growth but it does seem to be trying to green up. Any help or anything is much appreciated.
Thanks so much for your time.

It’s normal, imo. It’s only new young shoots growing out… They will darken within a few days usually.

At that stage in life, less is more… Don’t fret too much and observe your babies. They will let you know if they need anything… And just a reminder : When you water/feed, try to water in a circle closer to the edge of the pot than the central stem. That way the roots will have to reach out and they should grow stronger… :grinning_face_with_smiling_eyes:

Thank you both for your time and oh what good news. As al knows this has been a investment getting going. I put money into this grow that was air marked for my medical despensarie fee for a couple of months, hoping to come out ahead and not fail. With this site and wonderful support, I feel confident. Thank you all!

Thanks for you time and effort, and good news. Has anyone ever had a worley or mutant to go to where it will grow and produce yield of any value? I had one seed that never wanted to pop as well, wondering if this is old seed stock or from a flawed plant, have both problems? Thank you all!

I sing with the chorus. New growth is lighter green. If you have one that’s all just dark, and waxy heavy looking leaves… maybe dial back the nitrogen.

Stupid phone won’t let me upload pics anymore

Looks beautiful. Light great on new growth in normal. Don’t hesitate to ask questions when a problem crops up! Remember everyone here started with their first grow.

Thank you so much for your time and information. The Worley or mutant, was a new one for me since I had not ever tried to grow any little girls. I will let her grow and learn and see if it will yield anything. One of the other ones started as you see in the picture that it had a deformed few spots on it, but the new growth on it seems OK for now. They are all auto grand daddy purple so seeing a huge difference is definitely puzzling. Thank you again for your thoughts.
