New growth. Should i change my light?

I can’t post a picture bc im not home, however i wanted to ask. What would cause new growth on a 5wk auto to be yellow? And i see plenty or pistils, is it time to change lights? To flowering

It is normal for new growth to be a lighter shade of green and even yellow until chlorophyll has a chance to catch up with the rapid growth. If the yellowing is excessive, such as in the following photos, then you might have an iron deficiency.

Leaves turning yellow can be an indicator of mobile nutes being transferred to where your plant needs them or maybe overwatering? Just spitballing lol. Pics ARE worth a 1000 words…

Looks like new growth is being effected more then old which i think immobile nutes. Mobile would be deficiencies in the older leaves to feed the new growth.

What are your Temps, Lighting info and RH%?
I see canoeing up and yellowing at different stages. Not all leaves are yellow. I have had this issue with Heat/High humidity. Not saying that is what is going on.

@Baller-MoM151 what kind of light do you have. If it’s a hps, then yes you need to change to a fruiting bulb.

@BallerMoM151 sorry, I don’t grow auto flowers. Reach out to @Fatz1973 good luck your plants look good

If it’s an auto flower you won’t need to switch your light cycle. Autos are on their own clock and they veg for as long as they want. Flower for as long as they want and take as long to finish as they want. You just feed them and keep them happy and healthy throughout their life the best you can. The leaves on the bottom of your plant are definitely from you watering and the nutes touching the leaves. The others. I would go off of this graph. Ignore the red circles

I don’t know anything about soil though. I grow in coco. All of your plants look good. The bigger one might be a potassium deficiency. If I had to guess. Someone will be along soon I know to insert their two sense. I can help you with what I know.

Download the photone app. If you have an iPhone you’ll have to put a piece of notebook paper over the front facing camera and hold it level with your canopy under your lights to get your reading. Make sure you have your light schedule picked I.e. 18/6, 20/4. Use this for different stages instead of trying to measure your light distance and all that. Daily Light Integral. Hope this helps a bit as well

That’s not new growth. That’s a single bladed leaf that has served its purpose and is being disposed of by your plant. Pluck it and forget it… :+1:t2:
