New grower with watering problems

Hello everyone. Hope you’re doing great! I’m towards the end of 2nd week veg. My bottom leaves are turning brown, dry and brittle. Watered last night and are a bit better but still a little damage. I was overwatering at first now I’m not watering enough. I was raised on a farm, always helped my mom in the garden, I’ve never dealt with a plant more temperamental than what these things are. My question is does anybody on here use automatic watering pots? If so what kind? Any and all help is greatly appreciated!

Lots of auto pot growers here! I’m more hands on, but I know @Underthestairs uses the auto pots. Other growers will chime in soon.

I’m running the HydroLock system. It was very inexpensive. Functions really well.

If I was in the market for an automated system again I would absolutely try some Autopots :metal:

Auto pots are definitely a great way to go there is some maintenance with them. Another choice is if over watering is a problem is to use coco its rather difficult to over water but easy to under water.

My suggestion is auto pots and coco. Soil doesn’t work well with any bottom wicking set up. I’ve been using auto pots and coco for over 2 years with good success and the only way my plants can survive with my work schedule :love_you_gesture:
