New grower here…roots out growing plants

At every stage the roots seem to outgrow my pots…girls were 4” tall in a solo cup and completely root bound. Rolled em into a 3 1/2 gallon container @ 8” tall they completely root bound again. Now they’re in 5 gallon containers and up to 12”. They’re under led lights at 80% about 12-16” off the plant. They just arnt reaching and getting the height. 2-grand daddy purple 2- purple haze and 2-purple kush. Room is 72-78 with a fan. Been using the fertilizer kit from ILGM feeding as instructed. I started these girls germinating on Feb 20. Really like to get em another foot taller but I’m afraid the roots will get so bound and stress em out…what next?

It’s possible to grow in any size container, it’s more about keeping it watered and fed properly and balancing the correct PH.
Search for our solo cup grow, and you’ll see some sizeable plants for a small cup. Kind of amazing really.
Just keep them watered and fed, and they’ll be happy. Smaller containers are recommended to have shorter veg and flower times, but it’s possible to grow in anything.

How bright is your light? Try dimming the light for more stretch

These girls are only 12” tall but they’re 5 weeks old from the solo cups to this point. They were totally root bound at 4” tall in the solo’s. The light is variable I’ve had it on 80% most of the time since week 2.
