New grower, got sprouts, have questions

@Fiz
I totally get it. I thought about it for a long time and weighed it against other options.

@SilvaBack203 @Capt.Cola
Today, we are experimenting with dosage. The context is when I cook, I measure everything. When she cooks, she measures nothing. It’s an irreconcilable difference in how we work in the kitchen.

Yesterday, my wife used it rather liberally, ≈ 6 dinner spoons full. I pulled out the measuring spoons and that turns out to be ≈ 3 tablespoons.

Today, I supervised & she cut it back to ≈ 2.5 dinner spoons, or ≈ 1.25 tablespoons.

Hopefully, there is less dizzy/lightheadedness today.

We are still working on dosage for the oil. She cooked with a couple tablespoons this morning. Then she forgot & let the cat lick her plate.

Her IDGAF & muscle relief is kicking in.

Some pictures of how the White Widow CBD is going.

I’ve done two colas and so far have:

  • 1.6oz wet bud
  • 1.5oz wet trim (air buds & sugar leaves)

Finally tally for the WW-CBD:
Wet bud = 6.2oz
Trim (air bud, loose popcorn bud, sugar leaf) = 10oz

I’m running 7g of wet trim through the LEVO today for cannabutter. We’ll see how much dry herb that converts to. I’m thinking about 1 gram.

The formula I was given was 25% of wet weight = dry weight.

This is how it ended up working out for me:
Harvest wet weight: 9.19 oz
Dry weight by that formula (9.19x.25) = 2.29
Actual dry weight = 2.19

Pretty accurate, actually.

I assume that’s for drying bud, which would mean ≈ 1.5oz of dry bud.

I’m assuming running the dry & decarb cycles of the LEVO will get it close to bone dry, which is why I estimated ≈ 15% for the cannabutter.

Yanno, I wasn’t thinking. Of course the machine would get it super dry.

Don’t mind me, no excuses here, I’m not even high yet. Perhaps I should go smoke and I might make some sense!

It’s useful information

Thanks.

After the dry & decarb cycles, it reduced to 1.2g, 17% of wet weight. I’m going to infuse it into a 1/2 cup of vegan butter.

I should end up with 600 to 900 ppm each of CBD & THC in the cannabutter.

This is one of the weird things about this CBD Kush. This purple showed up 2 weeks ago & it’s not on the whole plant.

The vegan canna butter definitely separates. I’ll have to shake it every half hour until it sets up.

I don’t think I can do this three days in a row. I’m considering punting the Critical Mass CBD to next weekend.

CBD Kush Totals:
Wet bud = 12.8oz
Trim, air bud, & small popcorn bud for edibles = 9.5oz

Basically, I’m taking this week off. I’ll vacuum runoff & re-pH irrigation every 2 days until Friday when I’ll harvest the critical mass after work.

Then, Saturday, I’ll supercrop & double scrog net the Gold Leaf. I need to weave it into the scrog a bit to control its height & provide the colas more support because the plant is massive now.

@SilvaBack203 @Capt.Cola, how long do you think I should wait between supercropping & flipping to veg? I’m thinking as soon as it recovers from the trauma.

The purple in that plant looks pretty cool in the pic. Like Silva said as soon as they show new growth again.

Thanks.

Harvesting the Critical Mass just got pushed up to tomorrow. I looked at it this morning & it’s starting to die. I’ve already lost one cola. Unfortunately, I can’t deal with it today.

I just jarred the White Widow CBD to see where the humidity levels off at. I have 3 jars and they are currently reading 60%, 55%, & 54%, but I just barely packaged them. If they level off under 62%, I’ll add some leaf matter of the GL to bring the moisture back up. If they level off higher, I’ll burp them down - unless it’s a lot higher, then they go back in the dryer.

If they level off close to 62%, then I’ll seal them in Mylar bags and refrigerate them.
