Was the humidity higher than 70%? I like to keep it simple and start them in grow plugs with rooting hormone (IBA), and just keeping them under a dome for 2-3 weeks. Generally if there’s condensation under the dome, then you’re good to go. Cuttings take in water from the ambient humidity in the surrounding air.
Another trick that helps is to increase the surface area of the “wound” on the your cutting (which is why people cut on an angle versus straight across). You can increase rooting chances further by carefully using a sharp knife to carefully cut a small sliver of skin off the stem. Then try dipping in the rooting hormone. With more wounds made along the stem, there will be more places for roots to grow from once covered in the rooting hormone.
Not cannabis, but here’s a ficus I experimented on using the above described method (woody cuttings are generally harder to root than herbaceous ones, so I used this method with great success). With grow plugs and shot glass-sized solo cups, it’s easy to see the root health and progress before transplanting.
I also like the small sizes and plugs for starting beans as well since seedlings quickly start to overlap and cover each other in a standard cell-style seedling tray.

I like the mini solo cup idea.
I have been using used k cups for the same thing. They have the holes in the bottom already. Just in case the shot glasses need to Be used for other stuff
Confusing or I am confused by the timer plug question.
NO way I can manually physically on-site WATCH my tent.
Devices and Timers allow me to sleep and live outside the lung room. I have manual/auto dial timers (inventory).
Replaced with Cloudline Controllers.
They have digital timers and capabilities for controlling operations.
I have NOT tried using the 69WiFi Pro to control TENT LIGHTS POWER, only fans, filter and oscillator powers. TOTAL TENT POWER (all lights, fans, and oscillatoring fan draws 1000watts from meter) controlled with dial controled (15Min incriments) Power Surge Strip.
No the humidity was not 70% and I didnt use a dome. I did cut on an angle and use root hormone. Nice tip about additional cuts.
I have successfully cloned ficus numerous times. We have a ficus tree thats at least 30 years old. But I usually just put them i a cup of water on the wi dow sill.
These are the ones…

Yes, but after abandoning Vivosun for ac-I products, I am stuck with AC-I.
They are getting better, too.
Happy as a pig in the mud, all other issues considered.
My tents are in my basement, and it naturally stays cool. The temps in my tent (with the exhaust fan right above the lights), never go higher than 81 F.
