Need training advice

Hi all, looking for a little advice for this lady right here. For context, this is a photo in the tent with all other autos, happened to have a bean and thought I would throw it in with the autos and veg it until they finished, and then flip it to 12/12 when that happened and finish them out. That also explains the slight legginess up top. It had kinda been deprioritized in the prime lighting real estate going to the autos, and it got a bit leggy after the topping. I have since began more light for it. My ask for guidance is with the autos having about another 4 weeks before they will be done, what would be the best route to go with the next training in this situation? Top again the main 4 stems that resulted from the first topping, or LST all of them down and raise the pot (for light)? Thanks all, not sure what to go with. If any matters: VS4000 (400w) 80% 20" above (40 DLI/day, 20/4), FFOF (original nutrients depleted, synthetic nutes now), VPD set for 1.2 (temp 68-79, hum. 50-55), soil about 6.8 ph, feeds ph 6.0. Thanks again for any advice all! :love_you_gesture: Oh, I forgot, it was a two parter…it also looks like it may have started flowering??? Which, not sure how, its been on 20/4 its whole life for the autos. Is this still pre-flower, or is this officially in flowering now? Not sure how I forgot that important not when writing up above. Wow.

Those autos and that photo appear to have at least 6-8 weeks left to harvest. They also look like they have some nutrient deficiencies. Are you monitoring input PH and PPMs as well as the run off of these 2. You’re past the point for any additional topping :love_you_gesture:

Yes, the autos in the background have a while to go for harvest, and yes, some slight deficiency. Original pre-amended potting soil depleted and snuck up on me, have since began supplementing with liquid nutes. My question was regarding the main plant in the image, which is a photo. It appears to have started flowering, but light cycle has been on 20/4 its whole life. And because this photo as twice as much time to go to harvest as the rest of the autos, I’m looking for advice on which training method to best suit this particular plant, in this particular situation. LST or topping again? My EC for feeding is 1.2 with runoff being usually between .7 - .8. And is it possible that this photo somehow switched to flowering without me dropping cycle down to 12hrs?

Welcome to the forum! That plant is in full flower. If it was a photo it would not flower at 20 / 4 light cycle…must be an auto.

I would not top in flower. You can still spread the plant some with LST and in some cases I have used supercropping …but you could just let her do her thing.

That plant is flowering and nothing you can do as far as training. Super cropping is used but only needed when there’s height limitations. That plant is an auto or was given less than 14 hours of lighting if in fact it’s a photo period plant :love_you_gesture:

Seems you have what you have at this point. Ride it out and enjoy the results. You will have problems if the one is indeed a photo and you are not running 12/12.
