never done lst but wanna try on my 2nd set of gg autos, is this ready to start lst? my other 1 is pretty much identical in size
It’s never too early to start LST. I have a small clone getting some right now:
It does get too late, however. Once the stems start getting woody. For autos you may have less time, since you can’t control when flowering starts.
You want to get some of these lst clips ,i use these and i also use wire aswell but these clips are great cause its hard to snap a branch when using these where pulling ur branches down towards the edge of pot to tie it down with wire u can snap branches easily
Yeah, that plant is prime for LST.
are those just some stakes?
i don’t even know how to use those clips lol
That gg will lst well. She is also a lush. Loves her water. Well my photos do. I just quit doing lst. Been growing the clones straight and true. She is an auto so keep your timing straight. Too much not good. No recovery time from big booboos. I have also found my girls respond very well to a milder prune with a good cleanout at base. Just my experience with the photo. This is a gg tent. Pot size matters. The difference is startling. Lights back on rail movers after big girl gone.
Exactly what I use for early training after HST on the Autos. Makes it so much easier in the early stages to position the sides to grow in the direction you want them to prevent overcrowding down the road
Looks like the perfect time to start, the plant will love it
Yes. Bend her over a little further. Make her grow sideways.
should i do that now? i thought i had to slowly bend, like a little each day
The clips you see above bend them 90 degrees, albeit they provide support for the bend by having the center radius. Don’t break it, but you can bend it a lot at this age.
Garden staples?
I agree with newt, I would bend it over further
Chain link fence ties… get them at home Depot for around $6 a pack of 50
They are easy there are videos on YouTube on how to use them
