Hello!! So I am new at growing weed. This is my third year and I grow outdoors. All grows up to this point have been disappointing with really small yields. After exhaustive research this year I went with the Natures living soil for autoflowers mixed to specs on bag. fabric pots and top dressed with their flower power for autoflowers. For me this seems to be a game changer. So this is how they are looking and it seems like some of the pistols are turning red or brownish. They get full outdoors.
So fat thumbs and my post is live without being completed. Anyway this is how the are looking today. I don’t know how long to let them go and the upcoming weather we are supposed to have for over a straight week is high 90’s and humid. The seeds described them not liking that kind of heat??? Any suggestions what I can do to avoid loss/damage? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks In advance!
Looking good. Welcome to the forum!
I dont grow outdoors so I’m not much help. I have seen people put sun shades over their plants to keep intense heat off. Make sure they get plenty of water.
Move them to some partial shaded eareas during peak sun hours Growmie
Looking awesome!
Welcome to the community!
Can do!! Thanks
Thanks so much everyone!! I am super excited to get these harvested and start the drying and curing process, which also makes me super nervous, don’t want anything to go wrong at this stage. I think they have a little while yet but they are sure smelling delicious. I’m obsessed and talking to my plants every 3 hours!! My husband wants me to cut them down now but I refuse
Thanks so much!! Love your profile pic! My dogs are my world
Thanks!! I monitor these plants like they are human. This is super helpful about the water since I’ve been reading everyone saying “be careful not to overwater” I just lift the pots and if they feel light I water but I’ll keep an extra special eye on these during the heat wave.
You made it this far. More people struggle at the seedling stage and never make it to flower. Hands on is the best way to learn. Either the hubby doesnt smoke or your plants are taking away from his time.
I have learned loads of info from being involved with the forum here.
Great people!
This is the best way I feel
Nice plants for autos. I don’t like autos because I always get just miserable looking plants compared to my photos, but some people love them, and that’s alright. You’re looking good. Be careful about caterpillars. They love cannabis buds. I would get some BT spray so you’re prepared. Maybe even treat them to avoid them all together. You definitely got a ways to go yet.
They look fantastic!
Shade for peak hours is the best thing.
Shading the pot can help too, to avoid the pots from soaking up sun and getting hot roots. Even a simple board facing the sun to shade the pots can help during the worst of a heat wave.
Mulch on the top of the soil can help retain moisture too. Straw is a common go to, most any type of mulch will work at this point in your grow.
