This taken from hlg FAQ, there is a link in there if you need it.

Yes I saw this, if you go to another page in the FAQ they have a section with the telephone line connector with red and black cables. I’m gonna try to rewire it and if it works I’ll maybe make a YouTube video on it as a tutorial. I didn’t find any on YouTube and it would probably be good if I did a tutorial to help others.

I use the ones they sale for outside Xmas lights.
They are water resistant and typically have 2 outlets and its nice haveing the short peice of wire so its not blocking other plugs.

I like these better myself, my lighting schedule isn’t something i alter much so I’d never use any fancy digital feature or wifi functions…

I like the wifi functions w the fact that I can adjust the dimmer as well

Good to know. They have one of those RJ11 boxes for $3 on HLG. The dream is still alive.

Do you have more dimming options now? Can you put it anywhere between 0 and 100% output? If so that’s gonna be really nice for dialing in DLI.

Yes I do have options from 0-10 for dimming. It’s actually pretty great. Maybe I could make a video tutorial on YouTube or something for it. It’s nice.

There was a few doubts in mine… :joy::rofl: I even contacted AC Infinity and they said they don’t know if it’ll work, but I did it

I have a lot of stuff from AC Infinity and most of it is pretty good. I’m not convinced the people we get to contact have much of idea as to how their own stuff works, let alone stuff from another company.

Hate to resurrect an old thread, but I think I’ve found an easier method to connect an HLG light to an ac infinity controller. They have a UIS control plug. It’s a UIS cable on one end and a plug in plate on the other. Should just be able to plug in your light and set the timer. You’d still have to control intensity with the dimmer knob.

I’d ask their customer service about it, but several of us already know how useless that would be. I guess file this under $15 more expensive but easier.

I did use the UIS connector from AC infinity to make it work :)) my light didn’t have the cat6 / the telephone line plug-in on the light so I had to connect that portion on it. But if your light already has it, it’s a simple connection as you stated

This is a different UIS cable (below):

You could leave the old school dimmer on and just plug your light into this. Plug the UIS end into the controller and done.

Ah yes those were out of stock when I checked a month or two ago, I like controlling the dimmer with the app though, good find nonetheless

Hey everyone,

Logan here again! Our team just released a new guide about choosing the best grow light timers for your grow. Using grow light timers makes your grow lights easy to manage, saves energy, and extends your lighting system’s lifespan. It also keeps your plants healthy and stable by avoiding irregular light cycles that can cause stress and hermaphroditism.

I hope this helps!

This one has two outlets… Each separately programmable.
