My SOG attempt in a 4x4 tent

Wow bro really beautiful ladies! I’m honestly just one to try something when they say it cant/shouldn’t be done and seeing your grow gave me mad motivation! Thank you for the information. One question and I hate to sound like newb but can you tell me what you mean by F1 F2 ect…

In agriculture the kinds of seeds that are used to produce vegetables (and fruit) determine a couple of critical things:

  1. How uniform will the plants be
  2. How vigorous will they grow

It turns out that if you breed two distinctly different parents together the offspring, which are referred at “filial 1” offspring, generally grow with great uniformity.

It also turns out that if you take F1 siblings and breed them together (inbreed them) and create “F2” seeds, those seeds will represent the rainbow of possibilities found in the parents’ genetics (i.e. not grow that uniform).

F1 seeds, it also turns out, enjoy something they call “heterosis” - which is a fancy term that means they just grow bigger and faster with heavier yields. (This is why crop farmers buy seeds every year instead of just making their own.)

Now, in the world of cannabis breeding, you will also find things called “in-bred lines” or “true breeding” lines. These are strains that have been inbred for generations (usually at least 12 generations) and selectively bred (meaning the breeder selected plants to breed based on desired characteristics). Strains like this include DJ Short’s Blueberry, Brothers Grimm Cinderella 99, and probably ILGM’s Gold Leaf.

I cant believe the growth over this past week I’m just amazed with it I dont want to sound cocky at all but I’m really proud of myself right meow :grin: all 30 thriving and loving life except the 1 that I think I might have to throw. If she doesnt show signs of getting better in 10 days I might take her out. I transplanted last night which was 9/21 I used FFHF with added perlite and also sprinkled Great White Mycorrhizae into hole and around root mass before placing into soil. Here’s the weekly update, picture of tent is from today. Root mass picture is last night. Thank you all hope everyone had a great day and even better week! :grin:

I’m super happy to have put my second light. The ladies are super happy as well. Nothing to report except I been foliar spraying with Big Time exterminator for 7 days today is day 7 and after that 2-4 times a week. I’m going based on the products regiman. Tuesday they get watered with a compost tea brewed for 36 hours (worm poo and molasses). Thank you hope everyone had a great day and even better week! I :grin:

Thank you gromie :pray::grin: atm I water them with my foliar sprayer. I take the tip of the nozzle off and it works as a hose for now. I’m getting the pump and hose in a few weeks. (Father of 4 on a budget) lol It honestly does take me about 30 to 45 minutes to water but I like getting the 1 on 1 with them I talk to each one as I’m watering lol

Thank you gromie. Tomorrow is 4 weeks from seed and their first day of 12/12. I’m excited nervous happy all of it lol but I’m hoping for a good run. :grin:

I went to Walmart and got one that’s a hand pump but it has a hose attached with the sprayer/mister. I’m not gonna post the link cuz I dont want to get penalized. But it’s called, Eliminator 1 Gallon Sprayer. If you Google it it’s the first thing that pops up. Hope that helps and you dont have the same one I’m talking about lol

Set to ‘Watching’. I’m glad you got some good interactions with Bogleg: his project pretty closely matches what you are trying to do.

I’ve never done this technique but it offers some advantages in yield using a mother plant. So I’ll enjoy watching you run em out.

@Tinman thank you kindly :grin:

@HTCMG not a problem bro! I can only imagine that hand pump situation, glad I can help.

@Myfriendis410 thank you gromie, you helped me out a lot as well. Booglegs grow is crazy I love it. I’m actually putting the mother in a closet space I’m preparing for her.
