Nah your good. Trust me you’ll know when you see foxtailing they are tiny little nugs thay branch off the main cola nugs that dont get any thicker than your pinky and get really long.
I used to run 5 gallon containers and mother earth coco perilite mix that was already rehydrated but the cost of material was too much for me so i switched to 3 gallons to get more bang for my buck as i didnt really have a lot of space to grow monsters i felt like i didnt need the bigger pot size. Ever since ive changed to 3 gallon containers my plants have been around the same size and i havent seen really any change. Then i switched to dehydrated brick coco and really started saving more money. If i were to run just 1 or 2 plants and want them to overtake the whole tent i would go back to 5 gallon pots to allow for more root growth but seeing as im strapped for space the 3 gallon containers work much better for my situation and save me money for about the same exact results

I like these lst clips I ordered from Amazon. Still have some defoliating to do tonight. Uggg I snapped a couple of branches cause I watied a little too long to do the training.
My green beam light should be here today so I can space these out.
2 of them are regular so they might get pulled from the flower tent if there males.
I didn’t realize I’m in week 7 flower . I flipped my flower tent on 11/25/22.
Should I take clones today ?
Since I’m in week 7 flower is gonna go ahead and say that’s a foxtail for sure . You can’t see from the pics but the one barely has produced one bud. So if I flipped on 11/25 that would make me week 7 flower? It so should I take clones today? So they will hopefully root in 2 weeks when they should be in week 9 finishing up. Or should I wait another week? Remember I’m attempting to set up a perpetual Harvest. Thoughts @BigCat420 @beardless @Spudgunner

Just ordered a new strain for the next run . I have 4 strains in my veg tent . 3 of them I will clone for the next run and throw this runts muffin in there. Stoked some of the breeders have 3 packs on nasc
I love those LST clips man i ordered 2 packs of the big and 2 packs of the mini and use them every veg run. I’ll go back thru my thread and find some pics of early foxtailing to show you. I take clones whenever. Preferably around the stretching phase but if im trimming and decided a branch isnt gonna amount to much and cut it I’ll make it a clone if i want to at anytime in flower. Though ive never taken a clone with buds or preflowers on it
This is foxtailing…
You get lots of new growth sprouting out from the interior of the bud, like little fingers. This was caused by a new light being put into my tent and cranked up for a week. This happened early in bud, and they actually all fattened up and ripened into huge colas! Not usually the case, but I turned the light down after a week and they settled.
And that was grown in a 1 gallon pot! The ones closest to the blue chair were in even smaller pots.
This was the grow I didn’t want, so neglected them. They turned out ok in the end and I was starting to like them more. Was still so glad for chop day tho!

I think my light intensity is up too high. I have a power meter but it only reads a two number reading. Can you tell me what that reading should be? Or any literature that explains lighting and what not I have an 800 W turned up to full so maybe this is the reason why one of my plants is foxtailing

Foxtails
I see that more as fat calyx. It is very uniform and covers the entire bud. If they are foxtails they fall into the don’t worry about it category. The bad kind are the mutant spires that shot up.
Clones - I have taken clones from a flowering plant but it was very early into flower. It took a month total to go through reveg. After that I treated it as a regular seedling / early veg plant.
Foxtailing is a sign of light intensity being too high as well. You can turn your intensity down a bit to help but i dont think there is anyway to actually stop it once it starts happening just ways to slow it down and make the best of your situation
