Thanks! Not sure how I missed that but so did Alexa AI. I’m not ready to take on Skynet yet, but neither is Alexa apparently. You’ll be set though.
Awesome, I was wondering but it felt like an ok brightness so I thought I’d let it ride a day. They jumped quick though. Bumping it up the rest of the way now.
Do you run the extension or just pull them when they get too tall instead of bushy? How long do you usually keep them in there before transplant?
I do not run the extension. Haven’t had a need for it yet but if I decide to start doing larger clones it’ll be handy to have
I’ll let mine (seedlings) stay for 5 to 7 days or until I see a couple of roots sticking out of the cubes. That thing is a clone monster too so if you find one you like it can spit them out faster and used car salesman. Roughly 7 to 10 days clones have got enough roots showing to pull them out
I am not tech savvy by any means just a good ole country boy mixed with part MacGyver @kaptain3d is my go-to on the tech thing on here
Thanks man! Seems like they’re stalled out right around an inch below the light now. Have them about a shot glass of water a piece. First time using the tankless RO and didn’t run it for a minute first and thought they’d sold me snake oil. Ran it for about 2 minutes before getting the water second time though and came out to 50 ish ppm and 6.8 pH.
That’s awesome! I just got the double tents going and @Storm convinced me I’d be crazy not to start cloning this grow. I really just bought the done because it was a pain getting tent humidity high but super glad I grabbed the full kit for easy clone setup. Do you space them apart at all or can they butt right up to each other? I got the smaller one for easier climate control but didn’t think I’d try to run a clone army at the time. I think that’s a Darth Vader quote.
I’ve also got a perpetual harvest grow going lol because my impatient ass couldn’t wait and plus I smoke too much LOL . I’ll let mine get up close and personal with each other yeah I don’t give them any spacing.
Ill be here watching man. Next year you will be worrieng what to do with all your flower
A propagator is the bomb for me. I also have 1 with extensions. If have to sit in it a bit i add the extensions. Can get well established while room is opening.
Might be crazy but I like naming the ladies. This round is Evie who started with the helmet and Flora. With planning on clones I was thinking through how could I possibly name them all and keep it straight. This all to explain how my crazy cult like naming scheme was just born. I’ll be calling all the clones from the mother’s and the mother’s before they’ve been cloned sister x with x being the name of the mother or mother to be. It feels kind of obvious after it came to me so maybe this is how everyone does it. Definitely feel like I need to add some stained glass to their new 5x5 steeple. How do y’all keep your clones straight?
Sister Flora started to turn a little because of the light. I was planning on doing 1-2 inches of perlite on top though anyways so went ahead and added the extension to give just a little more stretch while I get the light in the tent and wire it up. Exhaust is all set.
I am trying a wye with two of the blowback valves set in the sleeves of the tent to minimize excess blowback pressure between inline fans. I’m running 2 6 inch ACI fans and will be running the big tent at 70 max and the little tent at 60 max, so I think it should balance well.
The sisters were getting pretty stretched and were starting to topple. Placed some wire for support this morning and got the soil mixed up. Decided to go ahead and transplant since they were starting to topple. Buried them a couple of inches and plan to top dress with perlite once the soil settles.
Water pH 6.5. Fed Voodoo Plus for root booster. Also treated with Microbe Lift BMC and Nematodes to try and get ahead of the fungus gnats this grow. Light set at 22 inches from canopy and 40 percent with a ppfd measurement of 450 at the canopy.
Realized today that I wouldn’t be able to hit temp goals because of low humidity. Ordered a tent humidifier that’s supposed to arrive Friday.
Thanks! Definitely feels like things are going quicker this grow. Still getting in the rhythm but loving the new setup and feeling way better prepared with all the pH and TDS monitoring. Also finally getting out of reused cardboard boxes for storing everything and finally getting some real containers in place. Really makes things go from feeling like a bootleg operation to feeling like an actual operation.
Took a small nap on accident while waiting on the runoff to finish. The pH in the sample had tanked down to a 5 but I was able to verify with the soil probe that the soils are actually at 6.3. Will probably pH up a little next watering closer to a 6.8 with the lower numbers but really glad it’s not a 5. The ppm was off the chart as to be expected at around 2000 and 3000 for 700 and 900 respectively. It’ll be a while before these girls should need any nutes.
Ladies were feeling a little waterlogged from the initial Microbe/Fungi/Nematode soak. Will definitely have to remember to just prep the soil with it in advance next time but honestly assumed with the amount of perlite I used that they’d be fine. Thinking about picking up a set of bud cups from Budtrainer on the next grow. Live and learn, but they recovered quick and are looking great. Raised the light a little from 450 down to 350 ppfd to encourage a little more stretching. Also added a tent humidifier for lights on.
Girls are looking really happy. It’s been almost a week since the initial soak and even with all the extra perlite Evie is still feeling pretty weighty. Going to give them another day or two and then will start very light watering (250-500 ml) every few days for a week or so before switching back to a full soak. Will continue the voodoo plus and will likely add a small dose of bud candy and B52 for at least one feeding to keep all the microbes fed and happy. I have been experimenting with Audioponics a little and playing some of their albums. Could definitely be coincidence but seems like they perked up more in response but that could easily and is more likely due to the lighting changes. I do heavily believe in plant response to sound waves though and always like to throw some tunes on for them. Will keep this in rotation along with my Tommy Emmanuel playlist. I read classical and acoustic guitar are best and my last ladies swooned over their Emmanuel time.
