Well now I have a media / grow room thanks for the welcome and the advice. I did just what the section on germination said. Then tried 3 white widows and one gold leaf and all for seeds sank and by the 24 hours that was up each one had a little white nub sticking out. I can’t believe at 55 years old I was that excited about 4 seeds sticking their tongue out at me. When they sprout I will start a grow Journal

Okay guys you all are great with all the questions you answer for the newbies and I have even seen some of the guy’s who answer quite a bit asking some of their own (which makes me feel better about not being track down the answer in a older thread ) . So hear it goes I smoked enough in the 70s and 80s that if you lit it all at once it would look like a California wildfire but only learned how much I liked it. Unfortunately that is all I know . So to the point I see a lot of talk about PH and realize it is important and I have a good tester on the way but for some reason it is taking forever to get here will rain water from a barrel kill the seedlings before they pop through the soil ? I soaked them in water and by 24 hours the smallest of a little white tip started sticking out I would think this is a very vulnerable time for my new babies will bad phone kill them ?

I’m shocked at how detail oriented this is for a weed we used to take great care to try to keep them pulled when I was a kid so we didn’t get in trouble . Things were so different back in the day there was not all the knowledge just out there like today there were a few guy around who knew what they were doing but if you started asking how they did ANYTHING they would shut right down .
I remember thoughts days I grew up in the 50s 60s 70s so I know what you are saying.

Hey guy’s I see a lot on here about smell how bad does it get ?. I have a small 32 x32 grow tent in the basement in a 10 x 10 room I use for a media room . It is carpeted and air conditioned . Am I in trouble with smell all over the house or is it possible to stick a towel under the door and keep it contained to just the one room ? Do the charcoal air scrubbers really work and will it work all the way through the drying process? I’m just now waiting for the first seeds to poke through the soil 3 white widow and 1 gold leaf . This has been more expensive than I thought it would be are there any air scrubbers that work that are not very expensive ? Sorry for asking so many questions but I’m kinda lost on all this for now . Thanks in advance
It depends on if you need to eliminate the smell or not. My wife said they’re stinky, so I had to buy this

Sorry to say , but even in veg there gonna stink and when you go into flower your house can smell 3 to 5 houses away , so as far as I can tell carbon scrubbers work… The real issue is how can I make this work for me… I run my room air through my hoods , through a carbon filter before entering my hoods … So it goes carbon filter, hoods,extraction fan, simple carbon filter , out side… The cool thing about my deal is I made the carbon filter able to Fit into 5 gallon containers so when I run co2 I just block off the inlet to the bucket , and run air from outside through my hoods and back outside never interning the room… Sounds more complicated then it is…

@Givemefire thanks followed that link you shared and have a system on the way . Does it really take a month and a half to two months for it to be delivered? How bad will 4 plants 3 WW 1 gold leaf stink up the house before it gets here . They have just sprouted thanks again

Nice. Mine got here in a week I think, busy, mine didn’t smell house just bed room. I ordered some of these too why not be over protected.

Good idea the basement and first floor are on one unit with the upstairs on a separate air handler . Going on there now to order one for just outside the grow door intake thanks again
