These guys are great. Read everything and I’m a newbie so take my feedback with a grain but my savior has been flush, flush, flush, and be prepared to do things that seem counter intuitive if they recommend it. Like submerging your babies completely in water with a little dish soap added for good measure. Site got me this on my first run with a WWA and that was after I messed up the PH, nearly killed them with heat and humidity and made any number of other bone head moves. I repeat. These guys are great. Read everything. ! PS I took this a little early, need to take my own advice.
Hahaha. You always gotta taste test em yourself. That looks like some chief smoke man
Fatties man great job bro!
Thanks everyone! I haven’t had the chance to start the grow yet. Hoping to do so in the next week or two. Need to decide if I will use the light that came with the kit for my first grow or take everyone’s advise and bite the bullet and build a new light first.
Build it! And they will grow… but seriously. Those nuggets look edible. Either way the experience gained will more then likely pay dividends in rewards
I think I’m going to build the light! @PurpNGold74 is there a thread that will guide me through it? I’m very handy, but know very little on this topic. Thanks in advance!
Hmmm probably not. There are quite a few diy build threads. But the magic part to them is you build to your space. Each one can be diff but similar. Ill find a few but if you search ‘diy led build’ or google ledgardener dot com n click around a bit. U can find the basics. And when it comes time to buy components then we have a few people who can help u source parts.
How big is the space?
How many plants u wanna grow in it?
Veg or flower or whole cycle?
Strips or boards?
Seems complex but get that out the way and the rest falls into place. @dbrn32 is the MAN at these but he’s been real life busy. @DoobieNoobie and myself have built a couple. And there are somemore experienced foljs who can help. Check that site out.
And scroll up to post 26. I put my build in the journal. Maybe 4 posts. Uber easy
Yep lots of ways to get it done. Just need to know space. It’s still not cheap to build for a big space. But it’s cheaper and better then most of what you could get for the price.
Heres mine for an example.
Space is 32 x 32 x 63
Would like to grow 2 plants in a SCROG
Whole cycle
No preference on strips or boards
Check the mentioned site above. He shows quite a few builds for a 3x3 space
It’s a little under 3x3. But it would be a good fit for the 560mm strips. I’m not good at calculating the amount needed though. My guess would be a dozen Samsung’s.
I got the perfect setup for a 3x3 with the QB 120’s
Will the QB288 V2 Quantum Board w/heat sink and HLG120H-54A driver will be enough light? If so I’m going to order today!
One board will not be enough
You need at least 2 of the 288 boards
Will I need a different driver for 2 boards?
Ummm i think u can just get a bigger driver
Of course. I will grab a link for ya
You would run the HLG 240H c2100a with 2 of the 288 boards in series. I would suggest looking at arrow, they have free one day shipping
Or you could run the same driver with 4 of the QB 120’s and they dont require a heatsink. I love them and
I have better canopy coverage with 4 boards in a square rather then 2 boards side by side.
This is for a 3x3 and it was about 250.00, dont mind the red strips…those are add ons
link for the QB 120’s?
