You think it would have any negative effect on microbes? I’m scared to spray peroxide in my tent since I started using Recharge.
Hey Grayson what’s up my brother I just had the wildest thing happened to me I was wet trimming on my banana Kush Bud and it turned purple on me
Those buds look and sticky! What color are the rest of your buds?
That’s it started out green in the picture above As I was wet trimming The sugar leaves the whole bud turned purple in my hand Those pictures are all of the same bud
That’s crazy - never seen that happen before!
Why Do Some Cannabis Plants Turn Purple?.
I had to look it up why they change color after seeing that. Crazy to think it can happen right before your eyes!
I was tripping thought I was seeing purple but didn’t know where it was coming from at 1st but when I looked down at the bud and saw it changed into purple it totally tripped me out I didn’t understand what was going on lol
So i decided to defoliate 90% of the fan leaves that weren’t perfectly healthy, but were pwm free. Going to water my usual 3 pints with nutes and ph’d because the pots are light again and I’ll start my fumigation attempts in the morning just before they go to sleep.
So i ended up letting the humidifier run for about an hour as i checked on it at 20 minutes but it wasn’t spreading very high yet. At 30 the mist was around the lights and at 1 hour it was beading up on everything so i turned the exhaust on and the humidifier off. They all look just fine after waking up so i think I’ll do this every other day for a few weeks unless i see a problem starting.
Looking good
nice and healthy
@Blastfact tbh i didn’t really consider that as a problem, but that’s because i live in northern IL and the daily high will be 30 at most until April at this point. Right now the room the tent is in is 65° and 45 rh, i control the tent through how hard i run the exhaust fan now. So i should be able to drop rh pretty quickly and with 48 hours between foggings i don’t think the risk is that high versus the continual sanitizing effect of the whole tent
Updates on the WPM, I last did the h2o/h2o2 mist on sunday morning. Monday morning I used the neem seed oil, which I believe causes the WPM to flower and release spores to try to survive. This morning I looked over the tent and only saw WPM on 5 or 6 leaves between 2 main stems. I trimmed the fan leaves affected and sprayed the affected area heavily with 50/50 h2o/h2o2 and the rest of the foliage and main stems and soil lightly. As of tonight, I’m glad it’s showing only on one stem at this point. and I saw one little nugget on the hairs of a bud which I wet with solution and then pinched off.
At this point I’m willing to cut my losses on the stem that shows consistent infection and pull it, sanitize it, and continue with h2o/h2o2 spray for the rest of the tent for a few days to try and keep it from spreading.
@Blastfact I didn’t have any problems with the humidifier idea, but I’m lazy and the unit is along the back of the tent behind the plants, and its bottom filled, something I was definitely not thinking about when I bought it. I’m going to continue misting weekly once a week and I’ll probably spray the plants every other day or 3 until harvest, but I hope this is the end of it!
The branch i harvested, i hope she’s a good taste of things to come! She definitely smells skunky and earthy after a wash.
The State of the Garden
So things are moving along here. Pictures 2 and 3 are frontrunner and frontrunner 2, both of which have been the fastest growing from day 1 and are both starting to turn yellow faster than the other 2. The last picture shows the last remaining spot of PWM in the tent on frontrunner. #4 is the middle of the pack, and I took the long-angled picture to help understand how long one of the stems is, as it reaches clear to the back of the tent and has lots smaller shoots coming off of it in a line. #4 is also the plant that had the WPM the worst and had the stem I harvested to stop the spread. Lastly is slowpoke, now with 5 towering colas. True to her name, she’s still the greenest of all! She’s been healthy and I can’t wait to see how the next week will treat her.
And now for the bad news. Frontrunner 2 has started to hermie. That little growth I found that was light green and broke apart was a baby male flower. Over the past few days I’ve found 5 other male flowers growing underneath bud sights on 2 stems of frontrunner 2. They’re all really immature, like pale green to greenish yellow when I found and removed them to the trash. I’ve been all over the plant and am pretty confident there aren’t any more right now, but I don’t want to take the risk of that changing and I don’t want to inspect the whole plant every couple of days so I’m going to harvest on Thanksgiving and get everything sorted out over that weekend. I bought a pocket microscope that goes from 100x to 250x, JUST A LITTLE MORE THAN I NEED!
!!!
Luckily it was only 17 dollars and it works well so I’ll probably keep it anyway, but I’m getting something a little bit lower focus to actually get some trichrome pics later this week
