My first attempt at growing bag seed (or any seed) - Mango Kush

I went very careful. The bigger one that had been topped by the strawberry slugs had two branches so I gently pinned them down with a small tent peg. Each day I gently push it in further to open up the middle more. I now have smaller nodes growing down the stem. The smaller one is still a little unstable to bend over, even a tiny amount.

Thanks. :+1::+1:

Week 9.
Slow going, as nothing much has changed. I have pegged the bigger plant down and it is getting nice row of leaves happening, if I am not wrong this will give me more spots for buds to be produced.

big

spread

This is the smaller one of the two. She has thickened up and starting to hold her own.

The bigger one has now started to produce more leaves through the centre.

Thank you to all who have given me advice o how to get them up and running.
Hopefully they will produce some nice buds.

Is something going on here? I have some droopy leaves under the bigger leaves. Is this a case of not enough light, should I trim them? The other leaves are sitting up nicely.
Or something more sinister going on I need to urgently rectify?

Still in veg state.
Ph: 6.5 - 7
Temp: 20 - 25c rarely drops below 20c at night.
Light: 18/6 450W led, approx 20" above plants.

Water spray each morning. Soil still a little damp so no water until yesterday when I added a dilute amount of Charlie Carp.

See the leaf tips abruptly bent over on the ends? Most of us will call call that clawing and its usually from nitrogen toxicity. It can come from other things too, but the very deep green suggests it too.

Your ph seems a little high for a coco grow too. I haven’t grown in it, but I’m use to seeing those numbers more like 5.8-6.0 there. Plants don’t look terrible though, so maybe just double check what you’re looking for in future.

Thanks. Is there something I can do to rectify it? Flushing??

Do you have tds tester? When they’re due for water I would just give them a healthy watering and test ph and ppm of last bit of runoff.

No I don’t have any stuff to test water, apart from chlorine drops.

OK I will do that, thanks.

I would get yourself a digital ph pen and tds tester. Spend more on ph pen too, the super cheap tds tester is usually good enough if your on tight budget.

Yep, budget is always an issue here. I will get some testers as it is definitely needed.

I know I have not done the right thing by them but geez, it seems like it’s taking forever and I always have an issue. A friend suggested ripping them up and starting again but not having seeds is the problem.

Manifold grows take forever, that’s why you dont see a lot of them. The plant is pretty much stressed the entire veg time.

Well if I do decide to grow more then I think I will know a lot more after this one.

Always do. You never really stop learning.

A few more pics of how they are going. The leaves are getting bigger and the larger plant is now getting lots of smaller branches coming up through the centre. The smaller one is still struggling and has the clawed leaves but I have not fed or watered them, just foliage spray with plain filtered water. Now I have gnats!

The smallest of the two.

The biggest, which was eaten by slugs…weird how it seems to be the strongest.
