This is my first grow and I think I came across my first mutation. Has anyone seen a cannabis plant do this?

You can say mutant, or just a weird leaf, alot of leaves grow weird especially in the beginning of life for whatever reason

I had a bud grow out of a leaf like that same place that is coming from. Happened twice on me and I saw someone else post a pic of the same thing. These plants are grown, cloned, cross breed, and then they go through it again lol not much different from what mother nature does to em though I guess. That’s how evolution is supposed to of happened, that’s a whole nother story lol

That’s pretty crazy. Did you smoke that specific bud by itself? I would have saved it specifically to isolate and smoke. This is a sour diesel auto.

I didn’t know what the hell it was on the first one but the second time I had seen the post by the other person so I was letting it grow. Then during a defoliation I must have cut the damn thing off or the little bud broke off, it just disappeared on me

It was the same OG strain both times and from some seeds I made so I prolly have 50-100 more seeds I just haven’t grown any of them in a year or so

So will that specific mutation follow the seeds? I guess be more probable since they came from the same mother.

I am wanting to create my own auto fem seeds using some Tiresias mist. Have you ever done this?
I can only think it’s in those seeds DNA because it happened twice in a year n a half. I was telling a guy/gal about it and they showed me a pic of theirs. I hadn’t seen it in the 30+ years before that haven’t in the year since
No I have only made seeds with male female plants, collecting pollen and using a small makeup brush to just do a branch or two. I’ve read a few things about different ways of doing it. I might be able to answer an easy question on it

Have you tried to collect pollen and store it for later use? Not sure why you would want to other than crossbreading something you aren’t currently growing. Future science projects. The MeEasy strain!!

I have, I grew mostly out in the woods and back then you couldn’t get online and buy anything you wanted lol there wasn’t an internet. Seeds were hard to come by or the good ones were anyways. There wasn’t any fem or auto seeds either, just seeds.
The key is to dry it and keep it dry n cold, I had these tiny Tupperware bowls that were keychains (mom sold Tupperware lol) I would pick off the pollen sacks put em in the little bowls. You allow them to dry a little seal them and put it in the freezer, it lasts for awhile prolly a year and like I said I used a makeup brush to apply it to a few buds. I don’t know if there’s a better way but this was how I was taught. Male plants mature faster than the female and if you were just wanting a ton of seeds you just cut the male plant down and go hang it next to the female this was in the woods a male plant anywhere in your house will probably pollinate every female in your house no matter what room they are in.
Edit= I’ve been hearing these guys talking about dry packs like you find in different food bags and using them in their packaging of pollen. Not exactly sure how they’re doing it if it’s right in with the pollen or not

Another trick a friend of mine does is he mixes it in flour to help keep it from clumping up, not sure how much or how exactly he does it but he mentioned it one day. I’m sure there’s a ton of tutorials and articles on it
