Mold killing off plants

I’ve got a couple of plants in a greenhouse close to the ocean(150 yards). They’ve developed mold and are in a sorry state. I’ve tried scratching off the mold and applying sulphur. It comes right back. Tried ILGM mold control and I’m using Neem oil now. Is there anything that will help? And almost as important, what causes this and how can I avoid it next year.*

If this is inside of a greenhouse, how is your ventilation? Mold and mildew love water which you have an abundance of being a coastal grower. I’d make sure that there is plenty of air moving in your greenhouse and if you’re using the sun for light, it will help to dry the area out the more sun your plants can get. I had this happen once and when all else failed, I mixed a solution of 40% milk and 60% water. It took a few sprays but it did the trick.

Thanks for the recommendation.
I’ve got 7 fans running in the 8’ x10’ x 7’ tall, greenhouse. I close the doors and windows at night. Haven’t tried the milk and water, but I’m desperate. Maybe tonight, thanks

Needs air exhausting, pull in fresh with lower RH.
AC-Infinity T8 would do the job
AC-Infinity Cloudline controllers (remote operation and sensing).
AC-Infinity Cloudline series has multiple controller devices.

Thanks for the advice Dave. I’m closing the windows and doors at night. I’m also turning off the fans at night. It’s now spread throughout the 5 plants in the greenhouse, I’m still using Sulfur (dry) , mold control (wet) and Neem oil (wet). I’m so desperate I’m going to try a couple of suggestions … milk (40% and water(60%), then another suggestions was hydrogen peroxide and water. It’s worth it if I can stop the spread. I think the grow is toast

Try this. 10 bux free ship sample. Makes up to 1 gallon. Works very well. 3 way protection. TOTAL SOAK of plants at lights out. 2 times a week till mold and mildew gone. Then every couple weeks to prevent. Natural. Usable up to harvest. Leaves no residue after evap.

??? Closed windows and closed doors at night??
That combination should lead to water (moisture so bad, it looks like rain happened everywhere.
Windows need be open for fresh air or intake fans deployed
Fans need to move air or water develops, everywhere.
Exhaust fans pull air out and fresh must enter somewhere.

Lot of problems here and they aint going away. Im a mold guy lol

You’re closing the doors and windows and this isnt good, you obviously cant just leave the doors open either so neither will work.

You need your fans, but you’re sending spores flying everywhere so you cant.

I honestly think clear out everything in a pot make the greenhouseas empty as can be. Maybe make a temporary place for your plants.

After that air out the place for a day with every door and window open. Then i would blast every inch of it with PURE WHITE VINEGAR. You can get little pressure sprays pretty cheap.

Then a second day i would spray again with vinegar but a lot more focus on the floor and corners in particular, then cover floor with lots of big sheets of dry cardboard.

Let the place air out for a day again, maybe with a few fans going and everything back in. Leave the cardboard in place until its damp and worn, probably a week or 10 days, then inspect the underside and throw away.

Vinegar wont kill big blotches of mold you’ll have to scrape and remove then soak the area. But it will absolutely stop it from spreading.

If its spreading so fast its probably airborne spores and will have no one particular area of origin, its an environmental issue. Has your greenhouse any type of ventilation at all when windows and doors are closed?

Thanks Dinky, I’m about there. Every time I go into the greenhouse I’m cutting out dead or dying branches. Still trying but I’m. Losing the battle. Next year it won’t be in this greenhouse, I’ll be outdoor

Thanks for the tip storm, I’ve got a bottle off it on the way. Hope it gets here in time, not looking good.

Pretty close to rain everywhere. The condensation is apparent everywhere. Doors and windows open here on out. I’m not sure the plants will reach the budding state unless something works quickly. The “60/40 water to milk ratio sprayed on the entire plant looks to be stopping the spread somewhat. I’m trying the mold control on 1 and Neem oil on another. One more magic potion on the way…. Can’t give up now
