Sorceress

Curious what you think of Northern Lights?

Northern Lights - chopped second ILGM Autoflower. First one no amber trichomes, second waited till just a little amber

Effects of Northern Lights totally unique - Milky trichomes relaxing with little head buzz, little amber and it almost couch locks but not quite with the most unique relaxing cerebral effects I experienced.

Just curious what others experienced with this strain.

Thanks

PS. MeEasy great to hear you’re improving !!! You grow the BEST looking stuff and manage the BEST grow forum. :index_pointing_at_the_viewer: stay :muscle:

Hi LoudDream
My northern lights is also an ILGM auto flower. I just chopped her last week, she’s curing now.
I had the same experience with you on the trichomes. I had very few of them actually go amber, most were just cloudy and stayed cloudy.
I’ve not tried smoking any yet, but I’m not expecting much due to my own negligence. It’s been really busy at my house, and I shouldn’t have started this run to begin with. I certainly didn’t give it enough attention. I only got about 2 ounces out of that plant. Totally my fault.
I’ve got a couple more beans of it, so I’m sure I’ll try it again at some point.

Thank you all for asking I really appreciate it… I’m doing pretty good :+1: just waiting for the doctor to pull the wires out of my kidney so I can be released from his restrictions on what I am able to do. I’m scheduled to have the wires removed on the 19th :crossed_fingers::crossed_fingers: right now I’m not allowed to lift more than 5lbs and can’t even bend over to tie my shoes. If the wires move or get damaged in any way there’s a pretty good chance the ureter tube would heal closed blocking the flow from the kidney, so I’m taking this pretty serious n taking it easy

BUT

I have recruited some help to get my soil mixed up hopefully this weekend so I can get it cooking. My plan is to drop a run of all autoflower seeds (thry are a little less work) around the 15th ± I should be good enough to get them started n stick them in the dirt

Thanks again everyboody for all your love n support it helps more than you think… happy growing

Cyrus

Attention all my ORGANIC friends

I have been testing the no till for the last three grows. Between grows I would only remove a small amount of soil from the tops of each pot mixing in my nutrients not disturbing the soil underneath even leaving the stumps of the previous grow in some of them.

After the first grow I didn’t notice much of a change in anything all my plants seemed to be around my average size/yield

The second grow I noticed a small decrease in my average but I had removed all my tents and started growing in the open growroom so I blamed the decrease on my getting used to the change

The third grow (the one I just finished) I had quite a few plants looking hungry about halfway through flowering and my yield was down quite a bit. I was blaming it on the last batch of Earth Dust not being mixed right but I wanted to look at the soil/roots so I broke open a couple of the pots. I was surprised to see that there were very few roots down towards the bottom of the pots and the soil was kinda compact very wet, with very little perlite left in it.

I think in these smaller pots (5 n 7 gallon) and possibly the short 2 week turn around between grows  is just not good for doing the no till. I just don’t think there’s enough time between grows for the soil to recover leaving the bottom half of the pots with very little nutrients in it plus the perlite is constantly degrading/dissolving allowing the soil to get to compact over time.

I’m not saying no till is a bad thing I’m just saying it didn’t work out for me in these small pots or I wasn’t doing something right. Either way I will not be doing it anymore :upside_down_face: I will be going back to dumping out n mixing up the whole pots between grows

@MeEasy, Good to see you posting. For real take care of your self and do what the doctor tells you. Also thank you for the new information on the no till. This is my first grow where I didn’t till up or dump my pots to start a new grow. The 7 gallon bag with the WW in it was started from scratch, the BB and GL are in bags from the last grow and those bags have the ED from before they went out of business.
Take care of your self and Happy growing! :slightly_smiling_face: :v:
