she will bounce back. awesome the forest has been dropped lol
The two pictures are the same plant, it bounced back and is most likely already up in smoke knowing my family
and yep the forest is finally chopped down, it’s time to start the next one
I like the ice cube tray approach!
It makes keeping track of where the seeds are much easier. I put a tag next to the tray where I put each seed then take a picture of it. Then I can move the tray over to the heating pad without worrying about moving the seeds or tags out of place, I used to use bottle caps for them and a few times I felt like I was playing the shell game. The one where you put a ball under one shell and mix them up
Love love love the ice tray method
I just started using them like maybe a year ago when I started growing so many plants in each grow. They help keeping everything from getting mixed up
I’m having some trouble with these new plugs I bought. I wanted to try a different brand because I didn’t like how the rapid rooter plugs (sponges) never dissolve staying on the main stems holding moisture right in that spot. I noticed that a couple plants had like a weak spot where the plug was on the stem.
These new ones are to hard, it’s like they have to much glue in them and it’s causing some of my seedlings to actually grow out of the plugs instead of the roots growing into it. I believe it was 7 of the 23 have done this. I have been tearing the plugs nearly in half so I can put the seedlings back into the plugs. I’m wondering if I should just take em out of the plugs and put the seedlings into the pots. I like the super sprouter because I can keep the humidity way up in it but with these damn plugs I’m concerned about the roots being able to grow out of them.
Any thoughts or suggestions ???
Here’s a picture of what I’m talking about. There was a couple worse than this one I didn’t take pictures of them oops
I’m not trying to bad mouth anyone but thought I’d share what brand they are. I don’t know if all their plugs are like this or if I just ended up with a bad batch.
What about cheese cloth into the cup and some of your soil right into that?
That’s funny that’s exactly what I was just going to say how about a little of your own soil just make your own little rooter fill your little cup up and put the seed in there basically just like a mini Solo cup? Then you don’t even have to buy rooters
I just found that Fiskers and others actually make a little tool that presses your own soil into plugs I never thought about cheesecloth … I definitely have to figure something out before my next grow

BLOWEST 200Pcs Biodegradable Non-Woven Nursery Bags Fabric Seedling Starter Bags Nursery Pots Seed Raising Bags Plants Pouch Home Garden Supply for Bud Growing
These are 3.2 x 3.9 big I don’t know if they really make them much smaller or not but roots will grow thru these super easy self prune ect like a fab bag. I keep clones alive in mine for like 6 to 8 weeks so far my bags r like 4x6 or so but they have multi size pks also
Ive used these bags as well for clones/seedlings and every roots really well in them the multi pack i bought came with 4 different sizes and 50ct of each size the smallest was about the size of a little paper dixi cup which id say is a little bigger than a plug
I heard once somebody using cotton balls to start. Any downside you can think of. Will need a weak nute solution in water I am thinking…
Can use a little help on a different lady. This is a mazar auto. Pretty sure i see alot of cloudy with a few amber on yhe leaves. Appreciate any input/thoughts
In my opinion partly cloudy but keep checking every 3 days or so maybe 10-14 more days?
I’ve seen a few folks using cotton mostly pads like the ones used to remove makeup. That’s just to pop the seeds like you do in a paper towel. As for food a seedling gets everything it needs from the coty leaves. I’m not sure how long it lasts but I don’t use anything but water and a little peroxide for my seedlings until they go into their pots and I let mine go until I see the second set of real leaves forming. Here’s a random picture of the size I let them get before planting them, it’s in a seedling plug which is not much more than a sponge
I’m never good with trichome pictures, I’m thinking @spankyjr1 is right on the money with it being really close
