Mango Sherbert indoor by The Humboldt Seed Co

@Covertgrower moved recently and he closed his plants in rubbermaid totes to stealth them in & out of the uhaul

That’s the best way to do it. I did it that way too.

@Covertgrower @borialis that’s more than likely what I’ll do. When I move they shouldn’t be too big to move that way and I can throw it in my trunk. It hasn’t even been 24 hours and all 6 seeds have popped. I’m letting them grow a tail before I pot them but very quick and nice germ rate.

Seeds were started at 9pm day before yesterday so it’s been 36 hours and here progress on tap roots. So far it’s a 100% germ rate. Definitely the fastest going seeds I’ve had yet every other seed has taken days to crack.

Party time!

Or the beginning of all the hard work, however you choose to look at it - blessins on blessins on blessins as Big Sean would say

Hey quick question the end the root goes down for fastest growth right? @Bulldognuts @covertgrower

That’s my understanding of the best way to start, tap root down.

If you don’t you’ll end up with one upside down. I did this my very first grow. “That’s a an odd one? It doesn’t have any leaves…”
pokes around a bit, oh it’s upside down. I put it in right side up… (think surgery hands on a baby, but with intense shaking, it was a nightmare! Lol) but it was too late, the tap dried out, and it died. But, lessened learned here. Laugh about yourself. :joy:

@Covertgrower I’ll try and learn from your mistake there but what about the one that grew j like? Still down or will it correct and grow straight? That sounds super intense so I’ll try to avoid surgery :joy:

I think when they’re curved, they do fine in my experience. This literally grew straight up.

I’m definitely down for this ride. I got some kosher sorbet vegging for, hopefully, my first harvest.

@NewYep thanks for joining man! Do you have a journal going I can check out?

I’m not sure how but within 12 hours of them being in soil (that was definitely not to wet) I have some gnats flying around. The shop that sold the soil to me claims it’s always a risk when using oragnics but said it would be because of me overwatering. I’m super confused as I haven’t watered and didn’t have them last time and this was fresh ocean forest soil. I put up some sticky traps and have only caught 1 so far but I’m hoping this doesn’t impact or ruin this grow. Will be back with more updates but until then does anyone have good organic solutions to gnats?

Diatomaceous earth is organic.

@Covertgrower is it going to work well at killing the gnats? I’d hate to use a pesticide when trying to grow all organic ya know

D. Earth comes from the earth. They do sell food grade too.
