So this guy’s first post - does it somehow relay to you he was using instapot method? I’ve read it over like 3 times…I thought the muslin thing was a typo, what is that?

Hey guys many thanks for all the good advise. I did not use an instapot. Just simmered in a pan with butter over a gas flame. Muslin is what I call the fine mesh cloth I ran the hot liquid cooked material through to get my butter. Then as I said was left with plant material as it obviously did niot make it through the meshed material(muslin cloth).
I did not decarb.
Decarb is the first “Crucial” step in order to convert the THC-A into THC. After it’s decarbed than the infusion process would be your next step.

Then that is why it was so dark and will not be very strong unfortunately. Diver broke it down for you but if your just simmering plant matter in butter decarboxylation is a must.
i literally put mine in a crock pot and run on low for 12 + hrs… strain through cheesecloth and refrigerate then seperate… works great…
This is great info. I have an insta pot and a modest amount if material that will be ready to harvest soon. I cant wait to make some cookies and what not.

more specifically i add 4 cups of water with 1 lb of non slated butter and about 1.5 + oz ish of ground bud & shake… run on high for about 45 mins then turn to low and let it ride for 12 hours or so. alternate as needed between low and keep warm depending on crockpot setting temps…

I make chocolate, it last longer. Check out you tube . There’s a video on making butter with the insta pot. Use ghee or coconut oil
