Hey man, I’m having the exact same problem. Someone on here told me to flush just a week ago which I did, and already my runoff is back to around 5. My flowering stage nutes go in at 6.5 and I’m using Happy Frog soil. My plant also seems 100% healthy with no nute problems that I can tell of, the runoff is just always 5. I really don’t know what to do about it anymore. Everyone is saying that it isn’t normal and that it’s a problem, but so far it hasn’t actually GIVEN me any problems, so I don’t know how concerned I should be. Couldn’t this just be from actual nutrient uptake? The plant favoring cations over anions? In my mix is Big Bloom, Tiger Bloom, Cal Mag, and Cha Ching. Should I try to fix this again or what should I do? Happy Frog is supposed to have a PH of around 6.5 too, so I’m just really confused as to how/why it is coming out at 5 every time… thanks.
Did you ever figure your PH situation out? My runoff is consistently 5 when watering/nuting at 6.5 in Happy Frog soil. My plant seems 100% healthy though. Not sure what to do anymore

I’m watering at 6.4 and my runoff is at 7.2 with Sohum living soil. Is that a problem?
Happy Frog you have to flush due to salt build up from the decaying nutrients they pack their soils with and with their nutrient line. You just have flush it down to 350 ppm or less and it resets itself. Then feed on the last watering to bring the ppm up to 1000
You should not be watering to runoff in living soil.
What? Really?? No one has ever told me this, why is that? And how much should I be watering then? Would I never want to do a dunk watering technique either then?
Well when its organic i thought it was not needed. You also should not let living soil dry out as well. Your washing away your microbes and nutrients. Im not a organic expert but i dont see a need to water to runoff.
Snap I’ve never heard that but you do make a good point. It being a living soil you would kind of want it to at least retain some moisture all the time. But then again I wonder how that works with root rot/mold/other issues? Or what is the correct way to use it? I’ll have to read more about this
