Thats good it makes it easier. Get the photone app with your droid, get it set to full spectrum and hopefully your front camera lens is not covered by screen protector. Then set your light for 500 ppfd at top of plant level, or in this case for you…the scrog. Give it a few days and let me know how your making out…

What are you planning for nutes? Synthetic or organic? I see your in soil of some kind…

What are you using for light and in what size tent?

It’s reading 514… synthetic, as for nutes I’m using Bergmann’s plant food, tent size is 4Ɨ3Ɨ6. I can’t honestly remember the name of the light, it came with the tent

Ok…so for me i did not like it past 500, but some run high as 600 or higher…but with my environment it was perfect. This is the ppfd now correct and not what it was before?

It’s from now

What was it b4?

I don’t know, I only downloaded the app after you suggested it but given the fact that I didn’t do anything to the light I would assume that it was roughly the same

Oh…ok. i was assuming u lowered to get the 514. Seems like your light is set pretty well for where its at in life. I never had one with that much space between node at that amount of light. May be able to give a little more then…i would not go much over 560 tho in this case.

Lastly you will need to figure out how much light u wanna give at flowering. Being a auto the time of lights on varies by different people. Usually people run these at 18/6. Guessing u will wanna be around 700ish but im not a auto guy again so hopefully what i gave you helped some. Good luck brother keep me posted

I am currently at 18/6…I read that you should change it to 12/12 at flower but I only read that in one place and haven’t heard it any other time so I’m not sure if I should do that… Have you ever heard that?

No autos dont change your lights at all

Thank You for confirming my feeling

I run my autos on a 20/4 cycle from start to finish but alot run 18/6 straight through. Growers choice… you will learn to make your own style and tweak it along the way. Just remember to never stop growing growmie.

that makes me wonder if maybe there’s some possibility of a change or increase in quality by changing the lighting to 12 12 when u see a auto start to flower.
i may have to experiment to find out
thanks for the test idea :bulb:

@420savedMYlife look in to jack’s nutrients, just a suggestion. jack’s 321 schedule is on point. if u haven’t heard of it, it will change everything as far as nutrients go for u.

@Hershy420 there’s a big debate on that subject. Would love to know your results. Ive seen a few videos on it but never dove deeper into it. Goodluck growmie

Instead of tying plant off over the top of trellis I would just push it back under. If you keep training plant under you have more flexibility to fill the screen later in grow. Once you allow to grow through screen you are pretty much stuck with what you have. As this plant develops more it’s going to create a lot of secondary and tertiary colas. These will easily fill the center of your screen, and you could be training these early dominant braches out to fill the edges of your trellis.

The way you are looking now your main is going to fill the middle and whatever else you decide. There’s nothing wrong with this, but it will probably take longer to fill and you’ll end up trimming more of your plant away.

What do you you mean by ā€œJacks Nutrientsā€ is that the brand name I should search?
