Looking for advice from you, my ILGM family

I don’t usually super crop till I see a bud site but some don’t do it at all during flower.

Week 5 Veg, 47 (Thursday 2/23) days from germination
So Monday night I came to to a fiasco, found the plants looking BAD, Wilty, droopy, some brown and burned lower lean leaves, etc. I was horrified! Humidity had dropped to 18% and Temp was 87f, and according to the plant sitter watered last on Sat(1liter each)

I Immediately watered with RO ph 6.3. Runoff 1070 ppm, ph 4.0. (Super low ph, I don’t know why)
They started to rebounded nicely…
Tuesday, light nute watering-853 ppm, ph 6.2 FFM big bloom, grow big, cal/mag and super thrive. Runoff- ph 6.0, 1520 ppm
Thursday I picked of the dead/dying lower leaves, soil still moist so no watering yet…and these are the pictures from today…
Today’s question???
Am I ready to flip to flower? Is it too soon after the stress of Monday? Are my ppm numbers solid enough to flower or do I need another week or more?
Thanks guy, I truly appreciate all of your time and advice

They were just underwatered. They bounce back really fast! I think they look ready to flower IMO. You weren’t dealing with a deficiency so you should be good to flip whenever.

Thanks Man. They seem to be so resilient, I was stressing hard! I’m not even smoking right now so I just had to sit with my anxiety. LOL

That happened to me last summer. I went out of town for a week and my plant sitter only watered my outdoor plants and forgot about the ones inside. They looked like yours and bounced back in less than 48 hours.

I’ve heard about people going completely dark (for 3 days), incl no water, between veg and flower, then starting the 12/12 light cycle. Is there any science to support that? Have any of you any special techniques you’ve used when transitioning to flower? I think I’m going to flip, just not sure how. Thanks

@MattyBear
I guess they really do grow like “weeds”!

I usually slowly lower the light schedule before I flip, but you can do 24 hours of dark to kick start flower if you want. It might be easier to just flip to 12/12 for your first time.

I’ve nevef heard of darkness in the middle of the grow. I think that would stress the plant and possibly make it hermie on you. Happen to me once. Again out of town plant sitter always went into room in dark hours cuz I run my lights at night and my timer on my controller took a crap and my lights weren’t even coming on fir about 4 days. The plants survived and produced good weed it just had seeds in it not a bunch but there were some. Just flip the times no darkness in between

i dont do it
they same its less stressful?and helps trigger flowering?
In nature it doesn’t go dark for 24 niver mind 72 hours
I have never had a issue with switching straight to 12-12

Thanks bro.
I’m flipping tonight, updates to follow…

Ya, I tried 24 hours before. Didn’t hurt anything, but it didn’t appear to gain anything either. 3 days seems a little ridiculous.

Hey Biz,
Here’s this mornings pix. Two weeks into flower mode. I am so happy that everytime I look I find more buds! Even where they are barely getting light, just reflections off the foil walls.

Looking good brother. Yes bud sites are fantastic. Now would b a good time to trim off any lowerbranches on the bottom if you haven’t already . Most growth under your net doesn’t really amount to to much as hard as it is to chop them but it will help growth of your tops if you r not feeding branches you don’t want. I usually try to do this before flower so I don’t stress but I have done it during flower and didn’t seem to affect it to bad . Just my thoughts a lot of folks won’t cut during flower

I did lollipop some before I went into fruiting mode. I took some small bud branches off down low, and thinned them all out a bit. Will give them a chance to catch up.
When do you recommend flushing before harvest?
