Thank you for that detail. How small is small? What will I get out of that space? I was thinking about autoflower, sounds like a good way to go.
Now that sounds tricky I’ll read up on it, thanks
@Cosmos1 there is plenty of info in here and currently a few growers posting pics regularly. It’ll allow you to utilize and maximize your limited stealth grow. It’s perfect for you.
Welcome to the community ! we’re glad to have you . Definitely at the right place to have a successful grow. I also vote tent would probably be best choice. It will have bars for hanging Exhaust fans an lights also holes for cords an flex Around 100 bucks. Also 2 x2 space will accommodate one plant. Good luck
@Cosmos1 welcome to the forum. First off sorry for your husbands condition. Many here grow for medical. We totally understand. You will find great info here. If budget is an issue MANY up here had to start very basic and upgraded along the way. They will have some lighting pics in budget range that will perform. I personally love photoperiod. In such a small space though auto can be controlled easier for heat. A 6/2 or 5/3 “what i do” makes it easier to moderate. LED is the way for sure i think. Auto will also need no light changes. Do not be fooled though. Auto are not EASIER they just grow on almost any light schedule. I hope Hubby gets feeling better. Also…just a suggestion…living soil is easier. No nutes. Just water. I suggest that for us more “seasoned” folks. No measuring/testing…etc. just water.
Thanks, ye I can see the attraction of a tent but it will be in my utility room, I couldn’t have it seen
Thank you for that warm welcome and info. No notes, just water all the time? From the tap?
Qualifier: I am new to indoor. And not an expert on any of this. I have had success outside.
This year is my first indoor and been very fun and I am gaining info. I am in week five of flower on my tent.
My buddy is in a 2x4 80”tall
He did 6 clones and he yielded near 8 oz He is looking at my 4x4 and thinks I might double his. I hope so!
I would guess your 2x 2 u could do a good plant training to fill box with one plant and get 3 to 5 ounces. Per harvest.
^Anyone chime in here please!^
My current batch is from seed. I crammed 8 plants into my 4x tent. I made clones b4 going to flower. (Was pretty easy)
The clones are going to be ready to jump into the tent as soon as I clear it.
This plan has me pulling clones again if I’m happy with it. Or new seeds.
This way my tent can always flower.
How small is too small…when the ends don’t justify the means. Gonna be your call, it is a labor of love!
If 3 to 5 zs gets your hubby the relief and you a good hobby. Hell ya!
Idea…Possibly buy a 2k light adjustable in case you want to do a bigger space.
Idea….What about buying a tent or build a box from styrofoam panels??
Grow on gal!
Yes. After ammending your soil amd a couple weeks to “cook” or allow myco to grow you plant and just water. If ph of water is between about 8.5-5.5 or so just pour. It will self regulate ph in those ranges. Lifechanger for me. I am out of town for a few months and my wife just keeps them watered.
So your clones are growing somewhere else and you put them into flower when it is ready?
3-5ozs might be just adequate ( I do have to sample the goods for the hubby ) I know it would be wise to start small and build up but I can’t see me re doing it all again and I have smart meter, I don’t want it to spike more than once. I would say this is my only shot so I need to think about the space size.
What do you mean use styrofoam? To build a grow area?
I got mine at home depot.
Easy to cut and has reflective foil on the other side!!
They have several thicknesses. Bigger I would do 1inch but small was fine with 1/2"
I bought a kit from Vivo sun that had a 4x4 tent and a 2 k led light plus other stuff.
I bought a 4k Spider farm light when I was ready to flower.
I took the 2k light and made a clone box that is also my veg box. The box is 2x4 and have 8 more girls in there…gonna be a crowded room in 4 plus weeks…may need to do an addon!!
I will put up a few pics of my setup…it is fast consuming my shed!!
Brilliant, thanks. And there I was congratulating myself on my research and I missed that one
Oh that all looks great. I’m wavering now, I have a shed. I’m going to take a few days to measure the house, inch by inch before I make a final decision. There is no point in going any further until I get the basic ingredient right. Thanks
Oh dangerous. Sheds are excellent for growing.
@Jaydawg6528 grows in one - well, an outdoor workshop thing, I think, but yeah - it’s stellar
Shed is great
Only thing to keep in mind it is not as well insulated and will get hot or cold quickly compared to home.
I am using my shed only cuz wife will not allow me in the spare bedroom with my set up. I think I would have it easier if I was in.
Good luck!!
