Thank you @Jmesser80! I am really excited about this batch. If I caught the hermies in time, this will be my first no seed run. Fingers crossed. :crossed_fingers:t4:

On the first one, I didn’t know what to look for and had a male pollinate the whole room. On the second run, I missed a hermie until too late… lots of seeds. Those first two were bag seed runs.

I did have 2 plants hermie out early in this batch, but I’m fairly confident I got them before damage was done.

Day 3 since transplant. They SEEM to be coming out of the ā€œtransplant shock stallā€, but it could be just wishful thinking.

New pH meter arrived today. I was no longer trusting my little yellow meter, so I ordered a better one. And then two days ago, little unreliable yellow meter fell into the drink. I heard taps play.

So how do you clone just tried my first 3 and they went into promix after rooting hormone powder? Just curious I always like soil overy other methods @BlackShirt

@Sirsmokes …

I took cuttings off of each of my mother plants. Labelled each one carefully.

I used a sharp razor blade to remove the outer stem layer for the bottom 1" or so and dipped them in rooting hormone.

I have an aeroponic cloning machine, so the 25 cuttings went in there for 2 weeks. Then transplanted into soil.

I did have a few extra cuttings, so I stuck them in some soil to see if they would take. 4 out of the 5 looked miserable after a day or two, but I think one might have made it.

People have success rooting clones in rockwool cubes as well.

I will tag in a few more experienced folks, I’m sure you’ll get some solid answers.

@Tr33 @Smokin_ernie @Jmesser80 @BIGE @bob31 @MAXHeadRoom feel free to add in anyone you care to.

***EDIT: if I’m not mistaken, promix is soil-less… which will change how you feed as well as the pH.

@BlackShirt i have had great luck with rapid rooters and both root-tech and clone-x…lol
as far as promix, lol my first run in sunshine #4 promix i treated it as if it were a soiless medium 5.5 ph and fought problems through out grow…
long story short the mix i was using had dolimite lime to keep it at around 6.3ph…lol anyway i started to ph everything at 6.3-6.5 and i have had very few nute problems since then…
do your own homework and try not to work against your medium…good luck! jmo

You are correct I guess I mean potting mix I never have any luck with germinateing I just bury the bean and usually have a newborn in 3 to 4 days

@Sirsmokes I just cloned a TON of my plants. It was my first time cloning, and most of my eduacation was from this website. It’s been 2 days, and some are wilty, but not dead. I’ll update everyone at the end of next week to let everyone know of my progress. So far the ones in small peat plugs look the healthier than the ones in soil. But all are surviving. If I can do it with some success you can to.

Mine are a little wilted what worries me is I put a bag over to keep humidity up and what leaves touched the baggy burned but flower looks good still so I’m just praying they work but if not oh well gotta learn what works and what doesnt, although in future I’m thinking about making a mist or fog cloning machine they are super easy and pretty cheap to make probably under 30 dollars

What does someone with more experience than I do should I cut the leaves that burnt off

I would wait on more astute advice, but personally, I would remove the affected leaves (or at least the damaged PART of the leaf…)

Maybe @Jmesser80 @BIGE @MAXHeadRoom can add their two cents.

(ā€œtwo centsā€ always reminds me of eminem… ā€œHere’s my ten cents, my two cents is free … A nuisance, who sent? You sent for me?ā€

I am a serious fan of rap (mostly older stuff… biggie, tupac, dre) when I get stoned. Weed is strange.

I cut quite a few leaves off, @Ray4x mentioned that I could’ve cut some of the leaf off, with out actually cutting them off. Live and learn.

Do you have pics of what they look like now?

EDIT: nevermind… lol. I am following your journal.
