Little Grows, Big Heart

Hey ILGM! Glad to be back posting to y’all wonderful people. Two days ago was my bday, so I got a birthday question. Is my little auto maturing or suffering to something?

Problems: Old leaf pair died off & beginning of leaf tip browning.

Things I’ve tried/done

  1. Using 8.0~ PH water & slurry tested, I received a 7.0 testing. will try using distilled water tomorrow
  2. Used Cpt Jacks super soap to fight Thrips twice & let dry.

Drop any questions & advice, thank you all<3

How old is plant?

Hey @Hashtonbutcher thanks! The plant is a little over a month old, grown in 2-3gals(that’s why it’s small) but, also fed a medium rate of growdots

Happy belated birthday

She’s flowering early, this is an autoflower thing. Sometimes they’re just little runts.

Is enough for a fair sized plant. Check out the solo cup challenges for impressive plants in small containers :joy:

Switching to photos will help to avoid this.

Real surprising that they’re flowering like this. I’ve seen some solo cup grows, but they’re all photos. Haven’t had such great luck with autos, so I’ll probably swap to growing photos next run.

I was scrolling to post this.

@Homayoun 3 gallon pots are plenty big enough for typical indoor grow. Something else stunted these plants and kept them from growing at normal rate. Trying photos would be good idea because you can always veg them out longer if you run into issues. Then try remaining autos after you get things dialed in some.

Really weird since I’ve reused my soil that ran a grow for 2ish months, guaranteeing extra nutes with grow dots also amended. But, my biggest auto was grown outdoors in roughly 4gals. This was probably my 6th-ish auto run, and I still have more seeds. Confused on how I may grow these to being monstrous, but just gotta keep trying.
Buying me some photo seeds now, thanks:)

That is easy.
Everything, and I mean everything has to be perfect. Genetics, lighting, water, available nutrients, temp Ph, Co2 levels, moon phase…etc.
Then they will maybe be monsters.

That is probably your main issue. When you re-use soil, it carries over salts and other materials that will affect the Ph level, drainage and available nutes. Mold and pests can be more of a problem as well.

I am assuming that to be my issue, I believe the little guy got some nute burn from the process. I’ve had bigger autos with the same available medium space. But now, I’m looking to switch from tryna have complete perfect conditions to being forgiven by the grow process. So, I’m deciding to try photoperiods with Roots organics 707 soil with Down to Earth nutes to topdress.
Autos have been so hard to properly understand, it really makes you chase your tail till you know for sure haha
Autos definitely love their perfectionists.

Just another question I had. Does this look like Zinc to y’all? If I compare the diagram to mine, it shows pretty similar traits.

To be honest, not sure if it’s worth expending, but I love feedback and any insight, thanks all.
