I need to put the bong down. I thought I read about drying. As far as flower I try to stay within vpd parameters. This summer I had to flower at 78ish degrees and above 60 humidity. At night I could drop it and run lower humidity. It’s doable if that’s what you got to work with.
I usually finish (last 3-4 weeks of flower) with a high temp somewhere around 70-72 degrees and 40%-50% RH. Allowing the temps to drop a little lower for short periods(like over night) can help develop color, but I haven’t seen much benefit from allowing them to constantly stay any cooler than 70. Just my personal experience and genetics will also play a part here. If your going to go for the dip in temp try to keep the high and low within about 10 degrees each other. Bigger swings can be mildly stressful as the plant adjusts to the new conditions.
I think anyone who can pull those temps late in flower will likely pull more flavorful product. Good goal to set.
Very agreed…
What’s considered mid and late flower weeks obviously I’m in early now?
It does seem to make a difference, but It’s not real noticeable until after a 60ish day cure. I’ve only had that kind of control for 2 grows now so I’m still compiling data.
Generally 4-6 weeks depending on if it’s 8 week estimated flower to 10 week estimated flower. I assume 9 weeks for all and call week 5 mid.
Yall can smell the difference in a hot flower room and cold flower room. Hot flower room those aromas are evaporating off, yeah? Louder for a reason ![]()
Yup, can confirm. I’ve come in and thought “man it stinks in here” then realized my thermostat probe fell on the floor and the heater had been running all night.
That’s one of those
moments
That’s what I get for being lazy and not securing my probe in place. lesson learned.
Looking good!
Thanks but I need the little hairy fur balls to hurry and transition, they remind me of unpleasant things ![]()
New light and dehumidifier tomorrow arrives sometime tomorrow. Get things back on track and moving again.
So @Low those bigger fan leaves can I remove them or just leave them be it’s like one here and there, does the plant still need them?
You could remove a couple of the interior fans shading the middle part. Overall I wouldn’t defoliate too much further until late in flower.
Defoliation is pretty subjective. I remove anything that’s blocking lowers or any leaves that are laying on each other.
In general you want to keep as much as you can.
My battery is 1% here’s very basic idea
Gotcha, thanks
