1000w Full spectrum LED.

So me an a buddy are new to growing but I’ve been researching a bit more then him or I think I’ve been. In any case he is trying to convince me this is a true 1000w light and will not only veg but flower 3 plants at once. I’ve been trying to tell him it’s only like 85 true watts and won’t hold up for 1 plant. Am I wrong or is he?

That light is junk! You are correct, lucky if it pulls 60 watts….You won’t buy a 1000watt light for anywhere near that amount!

I’ve told him a true 1000w is 899.99$+ but he’s convinced.

Check out Szhlux lights on Amazon. I run their 620w in veg room and the 840w in flower room. I’ve had no issues with either and the 840 was $359 . Here is their results…

Very nice. I’m doing this on a budget so I’m going to stick with my 2x2x5 tent an 100w light for now and the advice and knowledge on this forum.

Gotcha, the Szhlux I mentioned wouldn’t fit in a 2x2. Good luck and happy growing. Welcome to the forum. You will have trouble flowering a 2x2 with that light though

If you are truly on a budget, then you should not waste your money of the light that you posted. You will need 150 - 200 watts to take one plant to harvest with decent buds.

Exactly why I ordered the tent kit. Is 2x2x5ft tent 100w light 4in inline vent fan and carbon filter 5gal fan pot, I was trying to stop my buddy from making a mistake and buying junk.

But as for my lighting I have a few other smaller lights I can add to the 100w if it’s not strong enough

100 watts is just not enough for that area. I know that they sell it and make the claims.

We just hate to see folks waste hard earned money due to deceptive advertising.

I was going to give my buddy 2 of the 1ft lights but if I will need them he sol

I’ve learned my lesson on false watt advertised lights. That’s why I bought kit.

That’s absolutely beautiful . I have absolutely no doubt I will get to that point. I’m growing 5 months now that I’m actually taking care of them. I was just picking a spot seeding 100 seeds and coming back 6 months later to see what was there lol. This is a new and wild experience

For $200 US I think this light is the best fit, bang for buck for a 2x2x5 tent…

For my money Viparspectra are the best lights for the budget minded grower. Their literature states that their lights have the most even coverage edge to edge out there. I have tried many different manufacturers lights and my ppfd measurements confirm their claim. There is very little fall off edge to edge. I use this light in my 2x2 tent that I use as a ‘starter’ tent for seedling to early veg stage. They are also only $109 on Amazon to boot!

So my buddy finally took me up to see his light… I pulled up the PPFD app and showed him… He doing bloom his PPFD at full bloom 100% was 81, I flipped both bloom and flower switches and it jumped to 83 PPFD at a distance of 3inches. Told him it might be good for germination but I doubt that

screw in leds are not bad but they do not penetrate like a good red spectrum. Ive been at indoor growing since magnetic ballast first came out. In my experiance for quite some time nothing beat a good blue mh veg light and then a 600w kooltube with 4 in ducting pushing air during lights on. 3 x 3 x7 had 2 600’s in it back then. Was running shanti’s medicine man and a kosher kush line the year they won the cup. UMOL is the number ya wanna understand and embrace, spiderfarmers aint bad…MIGRO is great with customer service…If i can help you i will, lord knows eye hortilux has gotten thousands of dollars from me over a 20 yr period. Price doesnt always indicate top quality…(just ask snowhigh seeds)rofl, still have some of those seeds i watched a neighbor corpsman spend thousands of hazard pay on. I have yet to find a line there that meest the price index, esp after seeing what bodhi rolls out for us at 45 a pack!

Welcome to the community. I’m only running a 2x2x5ft tent I only need 100-150w true power. The Aglex k1000 is 100w. My current setup.

I also got 2 smaller lights for extra PPFD on the far sides.
