L2? There are tons of strips you can use, the ones I talked about earlier in thread are from Samsung
You posted cree xml2, that’s a hood led but kinda old school. Samsung makes half dozen strips you can use. Bridgelux has a few, cutter probably makes a few dozen. Hlg, rapid, and others have them too
Whats the most bang for my buck
Sometimes that varies between who has what in stock and any applicable discount codes. Like right now arrow has $20 off $100 for new customers and free shipping. If they have eb gen2 and appropriate drivers will probably be cheapest.
Since I’m what’s the efficiency u know off top ur head?
Like 2.5 umol/joule if you run 560 or 1120 at 700ma
That doesn’t include driver losses
Will 9 of these
fit well with this? and do they have a dimmable one if so if not how hard is it to add a dimmer knob cuz I really like that feature of the hlg 600sWhat is full part number of that strip? It should be listed on the data sheet.
Driver ending in a has dimmer built in, driver ending in b has dimming leads. You just need to connect the wires to a dimming device.
Those are the L2 strips 9 2fts would be within parameters of driver I believe if ram at 1200 no problem am I right?.. even maxing the driver to 1400 will still work fine right nothing exceeds maximum forward voltage at 1400ma the 1800 version dosent allow for the forward voltage to fall between maximum levels I would have to drop to 8 strips for a 480 1800 which dont make sence since I’d rather have 9 strips running a little lower since it’s a veg light? Am I on the right track
No. The 560mm strips are like 46v each.
Yes at 1800 ma but it’s a 1400 driver so its gonna be closer to the 1200 ma number and the hlg 480 1400 has 480v out put opposed to the 1800 which only hase like 409r something like that
Ah shit I was looking at watt number not v on the driver
They are 1600ma max current. 43.1v typ forward voltage at 1200ma, that means will ne like 44-45v at 1400ma. That’s still almost 400v in series
Wait no 387 at 1200 ma for the strips pull and the driver is up to 420
Same problem as above, exceeds voltage rating of connetor
And there not gonna be running high voltage they will below the 75% line of 1400 so 1050 ma I’d run em at and they will be super efficient no? What am I missing
Ohhhh so 300 is the highest I should build any one driver section?
So I should break it up over 3 drivers if I wanna stick with that number of strips?
