Driver output voltage exceeds voltage rating of connectors. It shouldn’t ever see voltage beyond rating that way, but the proper configuration would be to use more smaller drivers.
I recommend the 120 board because forward voltage is low, and you only wanted to use 2 drivers. That allows you put a lot of boards on 1 driver. Doesn’t really make a difference if you use v1 or v2. And all of the larger pcb boards are capable of about the same efficiency if you adjust current accordingly
300v. Same on majority of strips out there if you’re ever using them. It’s one of the reasons you see people use the constant voltage drivers and wire in parallel on bigger lights.
Parallel meaning positive negative from driver to first board …first to then 2nd …2nd to 3rd ect?.. with what I suggested was 5 288s on 1 hlg 480 1400bBecause the voltage is like 252 just a lil much for the 320s. Which is like 232 just not enough but the 480 is 302 capable but I wouldn’t be maxing it it will only be using 250.then the other 5 same way like 2 separate entities …you get what I mean…and then you separate the whole light into 2 light 1 frame…you get what I mean?
Essentially it having 2 power cords and all 2 potentiometer and 2 loops of wire instead on all together…top5 on bottom 5 on the…only reason I’m saying this is a I cant find 120s beside Amazon in 4 packs and there limited stock haven’t looked very hard it
Got late quick after all that number crunching but are the 120 v1 not hard to find from other dealers then hlg? Amazons come out to 139 for 4. That’s 35. Board I can get the 288 for 45 a board that’s y that option popped into our convo.
This where the danger zone is on this stuff. Anyone asking me about building lights gets recommended to GrowMau5s videos about building Led lights if they don’t have basic electricity knowledge. He explains all that stuff you and I take for granted because of our backgrounds. He’s the only other light guru I follow. Hahahaha
I agree 100%. Anyone that spends 30 minutes in search browser can usually find a driver and led combo that will work. But there are some fine details that need to be met here and there.
I know there is nothing standard about this sub panel I’ll take pic tomarrow to show you what I’m working with I know its beefed up for what it was being used for before… i dont think theres any tdd hing smaller then a double 20a breaker …that y I ask so many questions because I don’t want to do that and it seems like every idea I come up with because what rob suggest is usually out of stock then I gotta come up with my own idea its tough… I found a 4 set of qb 120s for 139 on amazon free 2 day shipping that’s not to bad so I need 5 4 packs if it says there are 18 left does it mean there are 18 4 packs or 18 total cuz I want 20 total for 2 lights
