My brother told me that in Thailand, they split the stalk of the male plant to stress the boy and he’d become a hermi. I’d never tried it although I got a male plant earlier since I got 5 girls growing and don’t want to take a chance so I pulled him out, stir-fried him and got stoned af.
How do you give an ice bath? I suppose it’s for indoor only? I searched and searched for ice bath both in the forum and old post but found only people talking about doing it vomit not how-tos.
The xylem and phloem run through the meristem and run water and nutrients throughout the plant so chemical processes can take place and trichomes can actually be produced…
Damaging the xylem and the phloem prohibit that from taking place, effectively eliminating the possibility for the processes to occur correctly. Ice baths also prohibit nutrient and water uptake by shutting down cellular activity within the roots and do nothing but delay finishing like mentioned above. If you start doing ice baths too long before harvest, the roots won’t take up anything, water will sit stagnant in the soil and the roots will develop pythium…even in soil
Also remember this…
All these “new” trichomes that are supposedly suddenly being produced, they need time to mature also because they are totally clear in the beginning.
If you wanna do something that helps the plant finish and pretty much caters it into the next phase then do a long dry period after the final flush
That makes total sense with the timing. Even if it works increasing trichomes, they won’t mature for harvest. However, it’ll be interesting if it increase tarpenes count or not.
I take that back. I was looking under a few branches and leaves and the resting production has definitely boosted. It’s coming out of everywhere now. Not like it changed my life but over never had a plant ooze quite like this. If nothing else it will help quite a bit when I go to make bubble out of my trimmings.
@TDubWilly you said in a knowledgeable way what I deduced stoned and tried to say in reply #8 of this topic. Just good horse sense to me. Hurting the plant couldn’t ever be a good thing.
