Leaves curling down after Superthrive

Joe I can only speak for what I do and I run kind of a dry garden helps with a lot of things but I’ve also learned when my plants are thirsty and most of that is by weight

I can pick up a plant and in one second I will know if it’s dry, and if it’s borderline that’s when the finger goes in and you gotta really push that finger down all the way, they say just to the second knuckle but I don’t go by that, I push my finger way down if I don’t feel water way down then I water, if I feel moist way down then I wait 12 to 24 hours

When I water my 3 gallon pots get at least a quart, completely soak the entire pot, you want to aim for about 20% run off (after you get better at judging this you don’t have to run off every time you’ll figure out if you go four ounces less or eight ounces less but at least once a month you’re going to water to run off)

For now just get used to the feel of the plant, all the way wet, then let it dry and notice the weight then to

you’re giving it too little water sporadicly, not the best way to go my friend if you have anymore questions we can help you just let us know!

P.s superthrive good stuff I used it in all my cuttings and seedlings without fail I don’t use as much as they recommend though maybe a quarter to a half

I use super thrive but primarily in hydro I do keep mothers in soil and they run with a very low N diet I give them just enough nutrients to stay healthy superthrive is primarily comprised of auxins humic and fulvic acid not overly high in N which is why it makes a good cloning feed. I strongly suspect it to be just under watering and super thrive can have undesired effects during transition and flower since it effects plant hormone levels which is where if used incorrectly it can cause ill effects delayed flowering rapid ph swings. In early veg 1/4-1/2 dosing is about right but repeated use isn’t really needed it’s a growth hormone booster and should be stopped several weeks before flip.

I use pretty much the same watering ritual weight and add around 1- 1 1/2 gallons to each 5 gal pot which gives me enough run off to get tds ph readings during veg 3-5 days between waterings less as they get larger. During flower I water with around 10-20% run off I also water when pots still have some moisture to them not quite dry but close since they drink so heavy in flower they can go from fine to dry in matter of hours and I hate watering at lights out  On a large lady they can go through litres a day in hydro or soil but using weight works best for me and the minor wilt your plants were showing is sign I watch for to tell me they are drinking faster since sometimes I don’t think to lift my pots every day lmao

I’m using 3 gallon fabric pot so it’s difficult to judge because it starts running out the sides pretty quick. Do you think I’ve done permanent damage?

I doubt it they are pretty hardy plants and when using fabric pots the trick is to slowly water letting water work it’s way through media if your water is running right out the sides it is because you are rushing and or your soil has dry pockets which are not absorbing water very common problem if soil isn’t saturated after transplant. I know too much water is bad is hammered into every one starting seeds and sprouts but with fabric pots it is very hard to over water they dry even without plants in them within a few days in grow room temps. One of the main reasons we encourage people to use them they dry fast  take your time when watering it shouldn’t be a rush I use a routine of watering all plants same day so I can add a little water too each then start back at the first and repeat after soil starts to properly saturate it will take more water faster

Thanks. Again ,good advise!

I know I’m being a pest but, I’m in full panic mode. I’ve attached a couple of pictures from this afternoon and they look worse than yesterday. Everything is still bright green but the leaves are more curled than yesterday. Is it a matter of I haven’t given them enough time to recover or is it some other problem?

Also, you can see from the picture showing the top of the plant the (2) new nods growing from where I last topped. Should I top those as well? Any information you can give me is appreciated. Thanks!

Damaged leaves do not fix them selves patience

With fabric pots water center of pot real slow and it wont come out sides in my experience

@joe1 did you end up watering it allowing it to have run off yesterday or did you leave it alone to see what happened

I watered and had it run off.

Very nice yeah it usually takes 48 to 72 hours before you see a significant change your baby should be fine

Will the leaves recover or stay curled?

They should recover

Great, Thanks!

Can the top (2) curled leaves be cut?

If she is topped yes I would, but thats my opinion @joe1

Yes I topped it about a week ago. You can see the (2) new growths in the middle.
