Leaf tips curling, yellow tips on another

Perfect, thank you. Was wondering about that lately. :+1:

I was near the Hydro store so I popped in and got some Sledgehammer. I pH upped it to 6.6 (6.85 for the outlier acidic plant) and watered. Runoff pH was fairly consistent ranging from 6.25-6.55. TDS had a wider range among the four plants, 400/655/690/750.

The one that had the lowest pH before had the highest pH and lowest TDS this time.

They look decent, certainly no worse than pics above. The back right one (Curly) was spread out yesterday so it looks weird but it was getting too close too lights.

It’s starting to reek in there.

What do you mean. I keep hearing that we need to be prepared for the smell. Is it a bad smell? You’re scaring me

Prior to the past week or so it just smelled earthy in there. Basically smelled like dirt. Now it’s starting to smell dank in there (more like mature weed…but not exactly). I just recently switched the exhaust to run constantly.

It’s my first grow but based on this one experience, I don’t think I needed the carbon filter on it until just after switching to flower. Still needed exhaust but just no filter.

I haven’t made any preparations for that. My grow room has a natural vent above the door. I have been toying with the idea of replacing that with a fan to force the air out, but am waiting to see. This is my first grow, so I hope I have that problem, it will mean success!

Others will be more helpful than me but I think you will need an exhaust, and probably more than a bathroom-type fan would provide. And you’ll need it for other reasons than odor.

As your plants get bigger they will be releasing a LOT of moisture into the air space, driving the humidity way up. I also needed exhaust to keep temperature down. My lights are LED but they still heat up the tent so the exhaust pulls warm/humid air from the top of the tent and cool/dry air is pulled into vents near the bottom. The exhaust fan was hooked up to a temp controller. It ran most of the time the lights were on and almost never when they were off. I have a very small space heater (with its own built-in thermostat) in there to prevent temp from dropping below 68* when lights are off.

I have the space heater with a thermostat, but haven’t looked into exhaust yet. I’ll start considering that now so I am ready. Thanks.

Mine haven’t started flowering. Almost thou. I wouldn’t ever try to grow without a kick ass filter. I take them out to water. And they stunk the whole basement up
