Gotcha!! Looked like the same plant, my bad
What lights are you using?
More light = more photosynthesis . The area getting hit with more light are not able to keep up d/t nutrient deficiency, specifically K
Here’s a screenshot and a link to a good article if your interested.
I hope that helps.
It’s only a 200 watt light. Spider farmer 2000. The area where it’s happening it’s about 2 feet away. Not that strong of light n seems kinda far down. Plants sure are amazing. That seems backwards to me. I would have thought plants would steal nutrients they need from the leaves getting less light. Would you recommend bringing the light up higher? The plants would get less light overall but would be more even then I guess.
But if I keep it the same,I don’t think I really need those mid-level fan leaves either
As long as its hanging at the recommended height i wouldn’t think its too strong. Maybe @kaptain3d knows who we can tag to get some more ideas on your issues. @Agrestic is really good with the earthbox.
@graysin and @newt have a lot of knowledge… and I like to ask @Covertgrower and @PurpNGold74 when I suspect deficiencies and there’s nobody quite like @dbrn32 for anything concerning lights… @MeEasy is also quite good in living soil…
The loss of lower leaves is pretty common, especially on the bottom half of the plant. This is why most people defoliate the bottom half. Rest looks good.
All of this was spot on. Good call everyone.
That extra plant mentioned near the bottom looks like she could have had a bit more wetness then needed recently? Think you overwaterd?
Usually yellowing is more Nitrogen deficiency but the other leaves around it look just fine. Even a few tips lightly burnt.
Like Covert and others said, yellowing lowers kinda just happens. But if it continues to spread then you got problems.
Hey purp, its good to see you! @PurpNGold74
he taught me quite a few things I’m always a student that dudes head holds a ton of knowledge
Speaking of @Budbrother when i talked with him he said he couldn’t log on here and forgot which email for a reset. If you are able and get time, can you try to give him a ring and help him get logged back in? Thanks my friend @PurpNGold74
I’m not familiar with the earth box, but I’m guessing it’s difficult to capture runoff? If so i would grab a slurry sample and test it.
Its basically a sip container with a 2.5 gallon reservoir built in.
Thing about LEDs is they can create more demand on the plant’s photosynthetic processes. You are likely seeing accelerated deficiency because the light is speeding up the process where it’s most intense.
You see it a lot more often with lights that are real intense up top, especially in late flower.
Thanks all. Thank you. I was just curious. Not really an issue, just thought it was odd. Rest of the plant looks good. I already address the K deficiency since it’s only week6-7 of flower , I wanna just make sure they keep getting fat!
She makes me proud. Good job @GreenJewels 🏼
Aww thanks mr teacher @Budbrother That means a lot
